Sorry for the delay in reviews, its taken me awhile to build the surround, the fireplace works as advertised, looks amazing, simple to install. If you are installing in wall be very careful of dimensions, I worked from instruction manual and found a mistake in the insert height, its not 19 inches someone made a mistake in converting from metric I’m assuming. It’s definitely 18 inches, my mistake but it took me awhile to construct outside and i didnt want to take out of box during construction, so it didnt get damaged.

This is a 2 star unit that I'm giving a 5 star rating for visibility only
I reached out to customer service, and they offered a $20 credit or a replacement unit, and I chose the replacement.
I know own one unit that looks a little better than below average, with the lights off, and two units that the flames are almost invisible when the lights are on.
Maybe it is just the room lighting, but now I have a heater in a box (the defective unit) and a below average unit in my wall, that appears to be off, when the room lights are on. I would return the unit, but they want you to pay for the shipping!
Overall, I just wasted my money. Just by an RW Flame or Touchstone, or take your risk and hope to get a working unit with this company.

This was a big purchase for me so I wanted to get it right. I was researching insert fireplaces for over two months. There weren't any that I found in stores so I had to take a chance online. I still like to touch and feel my purchases so this was a big deal for me. I decided on this one. It has been in use for 3 weeks send fit my needs snd space perfectly!
Packaging and Shipping- Arrived a day earlier than expected, no complaints there. Package was cared for when wrapped. No parts were broken and there was some foam to protect the sides. It was a heavy lift, not good for a single woman unless you have a dolly.

Edit 1/12/22 - The seller responded to our inquiry and sent out a replacement unit that seems to be operating just fine so far. One star docked for initial issues, but great customer service!
First off, this unit looks very nice. We hung it on the wall instead of cutting it into the wall as we wanted to play with different mounting locations before committing. The fact that it is deeper then a standard interior wall also was a concern. One of the first things we noticed was the grinding noise many talk about, which has to be caused by the rotating rod that simulates the flames. We still use it often and enjoy it. Another nuisance we found was that every time you turn it on, it defaults to C for the temp scale. The remote and front panel have a way to change this, and the manual makes it sound like the setting will stick, but it...

We already cut out the opening for this fireplace insert and were so excited to install it when it arrived. Taking it out of the box the power cord had paint on it and the back bar attached so it looked like it was previously used. When we plugged it in it made a loud grinding noise...and this was with no heat! Sooooo disappointed! Now stuck with trying to find another fireplace to fit opening. This item was defective and used and should not have been shipped out! One review here said started to make noise after 6 months and seller not cooperative. Do not waste your money on this. While the price was good you get what you pay for! Terrible!

I had a problem with the advertised dimensions of the product, but the seller was quick to respond with the corrections. Installation was not very difficult, but I had removed a previous LP Gas log insert and had to frame for the dimension of this electric insert. before the installation was complete I thought it best to plug the unit in and test it. WOW ! This looks so real . . . . the wife thought I had purchased a new gas log set. This is the most realistic looking electric fireplace insert I have EVER seen ! There are approx 9 light and color settings, built in thermostat, timer, Lo - Hi heat setting and the fan is quite. Heats as well as any other 1500 watt heater. Looks so real the wife is ready to roast marshmallows over it !
Delivery was quick. . . . arrived 4 days before the expected date of arrival.
The price is great !
If any problems do occur I will update this review
As for now, I definitely recommend this as the top choice for an Electric Fireplace Insert !
