Larry: Yes this is a live ammo box the armed forces use for there bullets, however me and my RC model club use these to store our LiPo batteries. they are fire and explosion proof. I have 7 of these in various sizes. I don't know of any other way to safely store LiPo batteries.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Solid and sturdy. It has a seal in it as well and it came with a dehumidifier pack to prevent the ammunition from getting moisturized. I live in a dry climate so i don’t know if it makes a difference.

Jim: These may not be actual ammo cans you get from Federal, but they are pretty darn close. Color match is good compared to stenciled surplus 7.62 NATO cans. Latch is tight and gasket compression is good. The only questionable item is that the top carry handle is a little tight and doesn't lay flat when let go. Could be a fabrication or paint issue but not enough to worry about for storing ammunition. Price is good. Quality is good. Shipping was great.
