Shelby: this anchor is amazing and I am so happy I got it for my paddle board. It holds my board with me on it firmly in place (~220lbs). It will hold more people you will just slowly move with the current/ wind but definitely not as fast as you would w/o the anchor. I had probably 500 lbs on it at one point and we moved slowly through the lake we were on but it still did a great job. I also added paracord onto it for added length but the provided length is great! If you need a good anchor look no further.

Hubby11: This grapnel anchor is really overkill for a kayak/paddle board unless you are in some serious current. Solid materials and works very well. Unless you only use for emergencies, you will likely need to make some sort of spool to hold the anchor line. It can get tangled quite easily.

Good for the money.

Adam Vollans: TL;DR – Shipped fast and was as described – an anchor of high quality construction with all required attachments to be effectively used straight away.

Bought this anchor to go with my kayaking gear (for fishing / relaxing on lakes) as it was reviewed well and had all the required extras pre-bundled with it.

Good:
- Shipped fast and item was as described.
- Complete bundle (anchor, rope, float and carabineer).
- High quality construction (galvanised iron anchor and marine grade rope) which should stand the test of time and seawater assuming good care (remember to wash gear with fresh water after use!).
- Nice little carry bag for it all which is a nice bonus.
- Makes a great impromptu mallet if you forget yours when camping…

Bad:
- Perhaps a little heavy compared to some other designs but this is a very VERY minor note – could be an issue if you were carrying a lot of gear.

Mixed:
- Length of rope may need to be longer for your specific usage.
