40034 Slime Tire and Mattress Inflator - Quickly Inflate and Restore Comfort

cmk: Got this about $10 cheaper that the local chain auto parts store. Ot is very easy to use and the digital pressure Guage is accurate and reliable. It's nice being able to set the pressure and the unit shuts off once the desired pressure is reached. Nothing to dislike except the ac cord is short and you may need to use a drop cord.

on Saturday, about 1 yr 24 days later, Slime broke
made tons of LOUD noises then nothing but whirring sound
so natch after warranty period expires, the pump expires
so i bought 2 other pumps that the same but each half cost of this 70 unit
both have reviews stating that they also break about 1 year or less same as slime pump

total uses of slime pump to pump up bicycle tires from 50 psi to 80 psi (usually just a few PSI daily)
about 70 to 80 uses in total before it broke so basically about $1 per use. for half the cost, ill use others which lack slimes name but theyre all made in same manner - lots of plastic and cheap parts.

Cons
screw connection is plastic - prone to wear if i wasnt using schrader to schrader extension w/ right angle lock
- the one i got (extension) broke after nearly 1 year - it is leaking (not the slime pump, but the extension)
- slime pump does not seem to have off button
seriously i have looked all over and no off button
so it just has stayed on for a year lol
- someone decided blue dispays are...

Muriel F Street: This was the worst product I've ever bought. PSI is totally inaccurate. Not only is it off, but it isn't even consistent on how far it is off. The piece that attaches to the valve stem is such cheap plastic that it would break if you used it more than two or three times. The hose that the air goes through leaked from the very beginning. It took a half hour to raise the pressure in one tire 5 lb. When I went to do the second tire it wouldn't work at all. I got 5 lb worth of pumping for $65. This thing is total crap. On top of that, the design is bad. If you set it on the ground, it sucks dirt into the motor. This means you have to stand there holding it the entire time that it is airing upvthe tire because the hose isn't long enough to set it down on the car hood. I really can't express how bad this thing is.
