Greenfield: It works so well. when the sky getting darker, zap sounds never stop. I have counted it kills 45 bugs in 2 minutes. In other words, in one night it can kill 10K!!
It has a thin wire cage so to let bugs easy to fly in. Like the simple and cleaning style. Great product.

Amazon Customer: I purchased this almost a year ago. It worked well for a few months but then it just stopped. I have bought two sets of bulbs, and when I place the new one in, it doesn't light up. I've tried a total of 4 bulbs and it doesn't work at all. I want to purchase another one because it works well, but I'm scared to take another chance on longevity issues.

Eric Tang: I ordered the light a few months ago, and it works perfectly just like expected. However, it quit working last week, and even replacing the light bulb didn't help any. I contacted seller here, and they made it right immediately. They offered to send me a new replacement light, and it arrived within days. They know how to treat the customer right, and that is a way better than other sellers out there.

David C. Harris: Because the racoons and squirrels kept getting into the outside trash cans, I started keeping the trash in the basement. As a result of that, I started having a problem with gnats in that room, unfinished concrete. I got this bug zapper and hung it up about 20 feet away near an outlet and boy did it work well. It was a bit loud with the zaps, but I did not have noticeable gnats, and none of them outside of that room. I bought this in July and in the next February, 7 months later, the bug zapper had died. It was great while it lasted, but this was inside, in a climate-controlled room and it only lasted 7 months. I really liked this; I just wish it had lasted longer.
Edit: I was contacted by the manufacturer in March 2023, about a month after posting my 3 star review (I had not tried contacting them) and they were very interested in the early failure. They were very attentive and since I had already purchased a different brand of bug zapper, they asked if I wanted a refund or if I wanted a replacement unit; they did not ask me to alter my review or anything. jacijaci: Yesterday my Gaiatop Bug Zapper arrived and it looks like my problems are over.

I set it up on top of a brick (in case it was going to melt anything), put a hotdog by it, and it immediately went to work. Bright sunlight, 90 degrees, zap, zap, zap. I didn't find it loud at all.

When I went out this morning it was still going strong. Bugs were actually trying to climb into the thing. Tiny little bug bodies littered the deck. Several black flies were staggering around so I put them out of their misery.

After I cleaned it (easy peasy), I hung it up to see if it will handle today's rainstorm. Hopefully, the bugs will still want it without the hotdog bait. I'll report back on my findings.

UPDATE: Well, it lasted that one time and just wore itself out. The light is still on, the bugs go around it but not in it. It hasn't killed anything since its first day of glory. I don't remember if it gave off any heat the first time, but it doesn't now. I'm going to have to return it.
