AndiSmil3s: I love having an electric kettle. I'm no longer worried about leaving the stove on or leaving something burning on. As soon as it's heated up, it turns off, and because of the stainless steel, it stays hot for a long time. The pour-over coffee maker felt like a bonus.

Teachaway: I love the Keurig coffee maker. It makes great coffee as well as other beverages. The pods work great except for one thing and that is the space they take in my cupboard. Also, it seems as if I'm always running to the store to get more pods. When I decided to go back to pour over coffee, this item caught my eye on Amazon. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it has turned out to be very nice. I can go back to my regular ground coffee in a can which fits a lot better in my cupboard than the pods do. I can also create a cup of coffee that is as strong or as weak as I want to make it. The unit heats up quickly. The temperature shows as it heats up. The water can be maintained at a desired temperature as well. This is a great device if you like one or two cups of coffee or tea. The dripper funnel moves the hot water through the coffee grounds for a great tasting cup of coffee. The dripper is easy to clean.

WT: Overall this is a good electric tea kettle, and I would say great for value.
I use it at work to make pour over coffee.
Heats up quickly and the size is good. (fill line is mid height on the body but volume is adequate).

Two dings contribute to the four star rating.
1. Temp gauge is relatively small and hard to read. The tics are each 5F, which would be fine except the needle is at as wide as the space between tic marks. I would suggest the range (around 100 to 225) could be reduced (140-212F) and gauge calibrated to widen the spaces.
2. The on switch should automatically switch off when the kettle is removed (or put back on) the base. I have had it happen that I heat my water, make my coffee, set the kettle back on the base when I'm done, and then walk back into the break room a few minutes later to find the kettle boiling and nearly dry. Even with a timer, this would be a nice added safety measure. ... or maybe my switch was defective. idk.

DGmo: I chose this kettle due to lower wattage, smaller size, temperature gauge, and gooseneck, which it delivers (obviously).
The pour is slow and accurate (deliberate) as one would expect with a gooseneck.
Takes a little longer than a more powerful kettle, but that's okay.
Like having the gauge to be precise with temperatures for tea and coffee.
For improvement/criticism, larger numbers would make it easier to read. I don't really care for the button; it is too easy to turn on with little detent or tactical feedback and feels flimsy. That would probably be a plus for more experienced customers with hand/nerve/strength issues.

Quasar: I've been wanting this type of kettle for pour-over coffee for a few years, but they seemed to be too expensive ($100+). This Yabano kettle has brought this great design into the very affordable category. The short pour spout type of kettles out there do not allow you the control for a good pour-over extraction. The Yabano style really makes a difference. The temperature control is also a big plus for both different coffees and teas, and is very useful.
The only issue I have is there seems to be no warranty period; the user manual mentions nothing in relation to warranty or guarantee. Also, the service contact is a gmail address...
I've had the kettle for about a week, and have used it everyday. So far, very good, and highly recommended.
Update: I've had the kettle for 8 months and still recommend it, but there are adjustments you need to make for best performance. The temperature readout is not accurate. I've found that a boil starts at about 204 degrees Fahrenheit, so I've found if you want to have the water in the best range for coffee set it to shut of at 200 degrees F.
