Kathy: I am very happy I purchased these combs and they are very reasonably priced.
Until I used them, my Rescue Cat disliked being brushed/combed and needed to be firmly held while I did.
Now she happily lays:there (without being held) and rolls over when I ask her too.

Amazon Customer: I have 5 indoor cats. It goes without saying that at least 4 or 5 times a day, all 5 cats line up outside of my bathroom waiting to be combed. They absolutely love this comb. It has enough resistence when combing that they look forward to being combed whether during the day or unfortunately during the middle of the night. Forget about bathroom privacy. Cats demanding to be combed takes precedence in the bathroom over everything else.

Charlene: Our cats and dogs line up for their turn to be combed its these little combs. They are just plastic, and not that durable but our pets love them! We had one and when I saw the three pack I ordered it so I could give some to pet loving friends for their animals.

Alinya: Well, I wouldn't say she loves it, but she let me brush her for more than 3o seconds together, so that's a turn up for the books.

However, I can see what others mean about the quality of the teeth. They feel exceptionally thin and flimsy to me, and I suspect one reason cats are okay with it is because it's not very effective. I'm using it on a domestic shorthair, so am not trying to do anything strenuous, just get some of the loose fur out from under her coat. But even so, it takes several strokes before you start to notice the comb catching hair.

readermomreadermom: This is the first and only grooming device my cat (7 years old) has ever allowed! Not only that, but she LOVES it, and changes position so that I can reach new spots. She purrs during the whole process, and especially loves this comb around her head and neck. The comb removes a fair amount of hair - not as much as those deshedder combs, but she won’t tolerate those. I’m hoping to see fewer hairballs, which she is prone to, despite a daily diet of hairball formula food. This comb is also comfortable for me to use, even with a bit of arthritis in my hand. Some reviewers have said that it is flimsy, and it might not hold up to detangling snarls in long cat hair, I guess. But for me, it is great! I think it is the flexibility of the teeth on the comb that makes my cat love it. It’s more like the way a human hand gives scratches.

JoanJoan: Cousteau loves his Leo's Paw Massage Combs!!! I hate all three colors but, hey, I didn't buy them for me. My cat adores them. If he sees it laying on the arm of the couch, he'll start pawing it until I pick it up and use it on him. He's a short-haired cat with a bit of a plush undercoat. This removes a surprising amount of fur -- especially considering that it's late February to early March. It creates just a little static, that serves to keep the fur in the comb, instead of flying into the air and my eyes. Much easier to clean the fur out of the Leo'a paw than his slicker brush, and it's much gentler, too. I combed my arm to test it, and there is no way I will hurt him with this, unless I poke him in the eye with it, or something equally stupid. If you're on the fence at all, jump off and buy this product!

Joel: I got a pack of these to use on both of cats, one short hair and one long hair. The brushes are easy to hold and easy to use. In terms of hair collection, the brushes didn't really collect much hair on my short hair, which may be normal, but they really collected hair off of my long hair. Both of my cats really love the feel of the brushes and will lay there while I brush their fur.

My one complaint would be that, with my long hair cat, the brush doesn't seem to collect all of the hair it brushes out. The teeth aren't full when I finish even though there is still loose hair on my cat and bits of hair that end up falling off. Still worth the purchase though!
