Dave ToughDave Tough: Bought this to replace a vent cover at my cottage, which was built in 2003. Not even my local hardware store carried the 3-inch vent cover size - they only had the 4-inch - so it was great to find this on Amazon. It was very easy to replace the old one; I used stainless steel screws (not included) to install the new one. The photo shows a comparison, both are actually the same size it's just the camera was closer when taking the photo of the replacement.

NextStepsJim: I am using it as the exterior vent for my powder room fan. The 3" vent seems to be rare. It fits well. I needed 4 screws to attach it to the house and caulked it in. It is thin plastic but does the job.

Michael L: it is exactly what i am looking for. i looked everywhere and couldn't find one with less than 4 inch diameter. this fit perfectly well and works well. i didn't give it 5 stars because it didn't come with the screws. there is a hole in each corner and yet no screws!

Skaizun: A slat from my old louver was broken, and, thanks to that, I found a nest of some kind in the dryer vent! I couldn't find a replacement, locally, and this was the only one I could find online without spending a lot of money. For some reason, one of the holes didn't line up, perfectly, so, I used a longer screw for that one (it didn't come with screws, so, I reused 3 from the previous louver's). Also, even though the previous louver fit right against the exterior house wall, this one didn't, and I couldn't figure out why, but, it's only about 1/4", so, I filled the gap with insulation, then caulked around that. Another oddity is that the dryer didn't seem to be strong enough to open the louvers, so, lint would get trapped, inside. I discovered that the hose was very long, so I shortened it, and, voila, perfect operation! I expect to get years out of this louver, and, hopefully, no more nests or other blockages to worry about!
