3.3ft Thunderbolt 3 Cable (40Gbps/1M) by Basevs

deardooley: I bought this to replace the USB-C cable that came with my Dell U3818DW. I was seeing peripherals lose connectivity, power fluctuate, and the displayport signal fail to register with my MacBook Pro. Once I swapped the factory cable out with this one, everything "just worked" again instantly. In hind sight, I probably would get the shorter cable since I keep the monitor close to my notebook, but that's not a reflection on the product. This cable works as advertised. I do recommend it if you are in the market.

Steve from Boston: I tried another highly-rated Thunderbolt cable at first, with inconsistent results. This cable works great. I can jostle the cable or the connectors at either end, and it doesn't make my video flicker or show any other signs of instability. I think this is the one you want.

Update January 8, 2021: I had occasion to contact Basevs customer service about this cable after the first month or two of use. They were extremely responsive and solved my problem immediately. In summary, it's a great cable backed up by a great company.

Valentin: I have extensive experience in using USB 3.1gen2 cables that are difficult to find. Good cable. Good quality, it works very well with my audio interface. Don't let these companies tell you that you need an Apple-certified audio cable. You don't laugh out loud. Therefore, when I needed a new longer TB3 cable, I walked with them and I have not been disappointed so far! It seems that compared to the larger names of these special long TB3 cables, its function is even better or even heavier. Keep up the good work!

Glen Ihrig: I bought this cable to replace one provided by the manufacturer of a four bay external drive enclosure. The manufacturer's cable was a poor fit in my mac mini thunderbolt 3 ports, resulting "drive improperly ejected" errors whenever I moved the computer ever so slightly. Very annoying for $450+ product.

I was concerned that the problem might be a defect in the computer port, but a basevs rep answered an Amazon question stating that they had tested thoroughly and there was no problem with lost connections in mac mini or several other devices. So, I bought the cable.

first, this cable solved the disconnect problem. The basevs cable fits the mac mini Thunderbolt port with a distinct 'snap' and feels secure in the socket. Wiggling the cable pretty vigorously did not cause a disconnect, so the original problem was solved.

In addition, I am impressed by the quality of this cable. It's much more flexible than the all plastic coated manufacturer supplied cable and it looks really well made.

The basevs cable is 3.3 meters long compared to Apple's .8 meter cable at about twice the price. The extra length and value are big pluses.
