RachelRachel: It heats pretty well, at least as best as it can since we have vaulted ceilings. Overall, it’s pretty and I like it. I’m glad I went with the 30inch. We couldn’t get the remote to work though.

Touché TargétTouché Targét: I’ve had it for two hours, and I love it! Not only does it fit in my 1925 bungalow fireplace perfectly… puts off some nice heat to supplement my radiators… but also looks fantastic. I can choose crackling noises… or not. I can change the color of the flames! I can run just the fireplace, or just the heater, or both.

I did notice that my cord got a little warm when the heater was on. I think this is normal, but I would not run it for long. Just to warm up the room. Then leave the inexpensive LED lights on for ambience. And all controlled by my iPhone with their free app. I’m not even going to put batteries (AAAs not included) in remote (hence my zero stars for that).

I could have chosen their less expensive model, but I really like the realism of the logs on this model. It was worth the extra money to me. Loving it!

Maureen B.: The media could not be loaded.  So I have a real wood burning fireplace that works but it's dirty, expensive to buy logs, and leaves residual soot on everything. So I wanted the convenience of faux wood burning logs for the convenience and ambience of a fire. This suits my needs. Granted, compared to a real fire it's somewhat fake but the ambience it creates is worth it. The crackling sounds are definitely not realistic. I liken the sound to the sound battery operated candles make. It sounds like crackling metal is the best way to describe it. I just keep it on the lowest sound level which helps.

This was relatively inexpensive. Comes with a remote to control level of flames, heating element, and color of flames. The heater doesn't do much to heat my room but I really don't need that option.

All in all it's a good product and I hope it lasts!

Pamela MPamela M: The media could not be loaded.  I have an old fireplace that needs ceramic tile work. I found this gem on Amazon and this was an inexpensive, quick fix for my fireplace. I was surprised how realistic this insert looks. I didn’t buy the model with fireplace sounds, I used my Alexa and searched “fireplace sounds” and it works just as well. As others reported, the heater doesn’t throw enough heat to warm up a large room but I still like the feature. The remote is another nice feature, there are controls on the fireplace insert itself without having to use the remote. My remote works fine when I am sitting on my couch, I don’t have to get that close to the fireplace for it to turn on and heat. The flames flicker and the colors are beautiful, for a fake fireplace, it is really nice. It’s obviously fake but I love it!! I took this picture while it was still light out and it still looked cozy. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this fireplace electric insert . The best part is I don’t have to deal with after fire smell or ashes to clean! I highly recommend this product.

Rachel CallanRachel Callan: We recently found out that the fireplace in the house we bought a year ago is not up to code, and would be quite expensive to fix. We don’t really have the money or time to make is a useable fireplace, or to put an electric/gas insert in at the moment. We decided to get one of these, and we were lucky enough to get one super cheap as we decided to go for a used one. It’s not the best quality of a fake fire out there, but it can’t be beat for the price we paid and it looks much nicer than the empty dark hole of a fireplace. It definitely makes the room feel so much cozier.

Michelle Arens: Overall great product. Not super realistic looking but it heats well and the fan is quiet. The sound doesn't interfere while the t.v. is on just above it. Good product for the money.
