But props to anyone that needs to cover their chicken run with a net because it is HARD to do without snagging on every twig, leaf and corner there is.

Product was good. Chore was a pain in the butt.

Carol S.: The bad: it was too difficult to open up without becoming a tangled mess! Spent hours trying to figure out how to unravel it and get it over our chicken run.
The good: once we were able to get it over the run and tied it down, it has done an amazing job of deterring predator birds.
I will never buy this item again because of the clusterf*** it was to set it up, but I’m so impressed with how well it works once you’ve finally got it unraveled and set up.

Amazon Customer: I ordered this to put over my chicken run. First of all, it was incredibly difficult to put up because it was all tangled. As we were putting it up it seemed to get tangled again and again. The very next day I found a little wild bird had gotten all tangled up in the netting. It was almost dead from the stress of fighting to free itself. It was absolutely heartbreaking! I managed to carefully cut the little bird out of the netting. If I hadn't found the bird when I did, I'm sure it would have died! Then I read that may wild birds die each year because of this type of netting. Please think twice before you buy this! We took this netting down and bought a solar sail / shade to cover the top of the chicken run instead. It is working great and no injured wild birds. Buying this netting was a huge waste of time and money!

Kat: I have had netting of this kind for garden roofing for the last 3-4 years. I have a 30’ x 40’ garden. The last net finally gave way after being out in the elements for 3-4 years and I had to replace it. Once the betting is up, it’s a gem. I imagine it’s way easier to install on a smooth PVC tubing frame, but I have a 6 foot wooden framed fence around my garden. We put a 50’ x 50’ net over the entire top for a roof to keep the birds out. Because of the wooden frame, it wasn’t easy to get put up( as it sticks to everything) but it works and keeping the birds out of my garden was well worth it. I even have a lot left over I can use for patching later on.

Amy K. Amos: I got this to go over our chicken pen. We used wire t-post fencing and then put a few 8ft posts in the ground to prop up the netting so we could walk in. I zip tied it to the t-post fencing. It’s not predator proof for night time, but it’s great to keep them safe during the day! Hawks can’t get in, chickens can’t fly out. They are locked safe in the coop at night.

We had a possum get caught in the netting and strangle himself one night. Kind of tragic. The netting does tear easily when pulled tight. Also, don’t try to set it up alone. I made this mistake. I got tangled inside of it and panicked. Luckily I had my phone in my back pocket so I could call my family to come outside and rescue me!
