Mary E. Illback: My previous curly wire to landline kitchen wall phone was slightly chipped where it connected to the handset. Since the connection was no longer secure the line crackled when in use. This new one affords clear sound.

More of That: Like the off white color and the long 25' length of this cord. My old cord was terribly stretched out. However, it was a heavier cord to begin with and liked that about it. I'm not expecting this one to last as long as the one prior. It just seems that is the way most items are made in this day and time. It will work.
