Amazon Customer: Ripping out the old floor left a gap between the sub floor and original plaster. These helped keep the rows of vinyl planks in place instead of sliding underneath while tapping them into place. Only lost one to the dog!

Amanda Lashelle: I was a fool. I had heard the rumors that the wedges that come in the floor kits are rubbish, but I thought I could make them work. I couldn't. The whole floor shifted and now I'm stuck redoing everything. Don't be like me. Buy these the first time. They are a little more pricey but you'll end up buying them anyway so just do it the first time. That is my PSA for today. You are welcome.

the traveller: I am currently using theses spacers for the upper floor of my house. I have use the black shim spacers in the past and there is no comparison. With these spacers I was able to start my first 4 foundation rows in a complex installation with ease. A tad bit expensive but well worth it for eliminating the headache of the shims falling out and your foundation rows moving
