R. Y. Blanchard: Lousy instructions. Silicone sleeve kind of nice. Love how fast it heats up and the portability of the charging hub and battery. No need for an outlet, unless you need to recharge the battery.

Horner: First of all this tool is only useful if you already have the works battery pack and adapter. it's kind of a funny system in that it uses an 18/20 volt battery pack and a cord to make a semi cordless kind of a tool the tool itself has to be connected to the power pack by the cord but the power pack doesn't have to be plugged into the wall and use period you recharge the power pack from time to time. unfortunately it's not compatible with power packs from other brands of cordless tools. The solder iron itself is quite nice and it has a good adjustable temperature with readout period it also includes a number of tips, but it's disappointing that the tips are just shipped in a little plastic bag and you have to figure out how to store them in the tool without losing anything.
