D. SchumanD. Schuman: The media could not be loaded.  Would have been 5 starts but description is misleading. Did not come with a remote and doesn not have typical “thermostat”. The instruction manual stated it will shut off when the internal temperature gets “too high” (whatever that temperature is). Also the remote is the reason I purchased it, I will keep it bc it serves the purpose for now. It is very asthetically pleasing and doesn’t take up much space. It also does warm the room in a short amount of time.

Don SandersDon Sanders: If you are concerned about actual dimensions (as I was) please be aware that the product description has the dimensions backwards. They list it as “20 wide x 17 high”. The ACTUAL dimensions are 17 wide x 20 high.
I was looking for an electric fireplace to fit inside a Buck Stove, so of course when I received it, it wouldn’t fit.
I devised an alternative by leaving off the rear legs and cutting down the front legs. It sticks out farther than I had planned, but still looks ok.
I also am giving it just 3 stars because the shipping cost as much as the unit itself. I spent close to $100 by the time I was done. But I will say, the flame and log simulation it very good.

*: Had this for about two months and it has been great so far. Our other heater lights up red at the bottom where the heat comes out - this one does not. I prefer with the red light because it warns you that that area is hot, but nevertheless a great product. The fire looks very realistic (many people have asked if it’s real), and it seems to be more effective at heating our space than our whole house heater! We have one downstairs and one upstairs (different brand upstairs) and these are great for keeping a space warm. Also, our downstairs is quite spacious, and this heater still does a great job warming the space.

Note: I was concerned about the legs when I was attaching them because they did not look very high quality - plastic from what I can tell - and I was worried they might melt as I have seen pictures of this happening with other brands, but this has not seemed to be a problem so far, and the heat does not hit the legs.

Size: perfect size for a small or semi large space. Effective in heating both.

I have noticed that the plug and wire gets a little warm if on the high settings, but we usually set it at about “11:00” and it comes on an off which...
