Chris B.: I think the motor is a little weak but maybe my expectations are too high. I needed the size but was hoping the louvers would open a little further. They barely open I purchased 2, they are both identical. Other than that I think they will do the job and I would purchase again. The blue material will not come off the louvers big pain in the butt I just left it on perhaps UV will take it off. Tried using Gorilla Tape to get it to start but no luck.

Wax shack auto detailing, wasaga beach: The media could not be loaded.  Installed in my detail shop wall.. once the hole was made in the cider block the fan was a very easy install.
Used some gorilla caulking around the outside and pressed into place . Pulled from the inside to tighten the seal . Added more on the inside just to seal up the fan ….
Wired to a 16 ft plug and works great.
My shop was super humid in the winter as the floors are heater and the water mixing wasn’t good. This fan 14inch seams to have pulled that humid feeling out of the shop and added a nice pull of air .

Would definitely recommend if you need an exhaust fan.

Rosemc: Great little exhaust fan with a 4 pole PSC(permanent-split-capacitor) ball-bearing motor. It could be used with a speed-controlling modulating temperature control.
There are some minor issues. The shutter blades are not a nice shade of blue, that is a peel-off protective coating for the aluminum during manufacture,so you should peel that off. Best way is to undo the 4 screws attaching the fan cage to the back of the frame, then you can reach the shutter blades.
If you want to make it mosquito proof you should put some strips of thick foam tape behind the side edges of the shutter blades, since that area doesn’t seal.
While the fan motor and cage are off,determine which way you want the junction box to face and assemble that way.
The other issue is with over-tightened connection box cover screws, you will need a freshly sharpened Philips screwdriver to get them out.

UPDATE:
!0July 2023 I awoke and turned it on, about 10 minutes later I heard it stop running. Immediately got online and initiated replacement process. One is on the way, should be here by Saturday.
I am a wheelchair user and live off-grid in the desert. Town is 70 miles away.. so I had to wait until yesterday to get someone to take it down for me. I checked it out and nothing is wrong with it visibly. Glad I did not wait to get another sent. Been over 110F here for the better part of 4 weeks.
I am expected to return the old one by Monday(7 days) or be charged for the replacement. I have to wait for the new one to get here so I can use it's box to send it back. UPS stopped by yesterday to pick it up and had the sticker to ship it back at their cost. I hope it gets here tomorrow so I CAN send it back before Monday and not have it charged to my bank account...there is NOT enough to cover it, it would be the first time in my almost 60 years for being overdrawn. THAT would make me angry. I will update when the replacement arrives.
