Jim: It is a great little Jack. Used it with my lawn mower to change a tire and also used it on adjustable bed to change the legs. Seems to be a great thing to have around the house.

Jack: Works fine, but only works when mounted upright, doesn't work when mounted Horizontally.

fsgregs: I bought this to replace an old leaking 2-ton bottle jack. When unwrapped and tried out, it worked right out of the box. No air pockets to vent, nothing to fool with. I closed the value and started pumping. Up came the piston.

I haven't tried pumping anything up with it yet, but assuming it continues to work, I expect no problems. Seems to be good value for the modest price.

Lei: The one I received seems to be a newer version (manufactured in February 2016) than what is shown by the picture: On the bottom of the jack near the release valve there is another adjustment screw (which is not supposed to be adjusted by end users) covered by a piece of red plastic. On the box of the jack it states that the minimum height is 7" (which I measured and confirmed as such) and the maximum height is 13-5/8". The maximum height is achieved with the extension screw on the top of the jack fully extended. Also on the box it states that the jack has a two-year warranty instead of the 90 days shown on the Amazon item description.

My overall impression of the jack is pretty good: small size and well made. Raising the jack from the minimum height to the maximum height takes about 30 pumps, with each pump raising the jack about 5/32". My jack also arrived with sufficiently full jack oil, although I did replace some (by removing the painted rubber plug on the jack body) with stop leak jack oil as a precaution.

I would recommend this jack to people who want to carry a small jack in their car just in case. For me, I plan to use it in combination with the scissor jack...
