Blayke: I really liked this idea. I wasn't really a fan. Flavors are ok. Texture is ok. Just wasn't for our family. Very sugary. More sugary than flavorful. I'm sure lots of people like this but it wasn't our favorite.

Margarita: I like dry fruits they are great snacks, but the only discomfort I have with this fruits is that they are too sweet at least for my taste, but there cover with sugar , I made hot tea and I drop a couple off pieces to try to remove the extra sugar , this dry fruits will be good in a fruit cake ,

Katherine: Well, I must have ordered this when I was really hungry! It came today, just one day late. It doesn't bother me to much that it was a little late, though it would have if it was delayed any longer.
As for the product, when I opened the bag (which is made from pretty heavy duty, sturdy plastic, and zips closed for easy storage), I was immediately hit with a chemical/preservative type of smell. It dissipated a little, but it's still hanging around the top of the open bag.
There are lots of good sized pieces fruit in this mix. The quantity is more than I expected. It seems like it is very fresh; there are a number of types of good sized, brightly colored fruits in this mixture, which signals to me that it's fresh- for what it is..and also making it easier to pick out exactly what you want to snack on.
As for the taste, it's just okay.... There's a funky favor that I'm finding difficult to explain. I think it could have a bit to do with that smell I mentioned... It's almost like it is only on the surface of the fruit, albeit on every piece I've eaten so far.. This leads me to think that it's that non-sugar, sugaryish coating. T: When I set out to buy a bag of sugar, I wasn't quite sure if this was going to work for me. The nutrition facts explicitly state that 5 out of 40 grams of this product is NOT sugar! Why would I spend my hard-earned money for not sugar when I could easily go buy a bag of pure sugar for less? Still, I decided to give it a try anyway. Boy was I impressed!
You truly won't be disappointed in this. It's sweet and grainy, just like pure sugar! It's so sweet you can't hardly taste any of the processed fruit product they mix in. And the texture! Oh, it's moist and smooth yet sandy, like eating honey mixed with pure cane sugar. If you're trying to develop type 2 diabetes, look no further. Just eat one of these bags per week and your insulin resistance will skyrocket!
My only complaint is that in some cases I could still taste a fruity flavor. It wasn't with every piece I ate, but there was enough fruity flavor that I worried they might have contaminated this batch with real fruit at the factory. But it was only a minor after taste and not noticeable most of the time.
