2-Pack VHS VCR Player and Recorder Head Cleaning Video Tape Cassette

Natasha Benoit McKenzie: So far 1 of the 2 cleaning tapes have been used. On first try it wouldn't start, player said error. Second time tape ejected with ribbon stretched but I then noticed it somehow was ripped due to being stuck on some adhesive(probably from the container since it seemed impossible to get out). I used scotch tape which helped to get the tape ribbons together and then it worked.

I thought it was to be used for both wet and/or dry cleaning, but it seems it is only for wet which is disappointing, which means I will still need to purchase more sooner than later. But for right now, This is what I have to work with.

I have yet to open the second. Hopefully that one wont have the same problem.

Kelli Jules: No surprises from this purchase or delivery. All was new, in package and as advertised. It arrived days earlier than expected, 9/28 (due from 9/30-10/7.)I haven't opened either yet, but expect some possible issues from earlier reviews seen. I am optimistic that all will be fine when put into use. I have had good results with both dry and wet cleaners, and am happy to find these still on market. I suspect some complaints could be related to the condition of the machines. The tape transport in VCR's is often the first thing to fail and could end the use of a machine. Given the reports seen, I will be cautious when I start to use the cleaner, and watch closely the first time or two. I thank others for their reviews of this product, so I'm aware of what some have experienced with it. I hope to update once I've tried to use them. 3 stars for Value and Expectations.

Shaun: The media could not be loaded.  I tried running both of these in my VCR, but they would get ejected after pressing play. I took apart my VCR to see what was going on and see if any manual cleaning could be done.

The strip in the VCR seems to have too much resistance/friction and drags against the VCR head. This gives it a bit of cleaning, but only using the portion of the tape touching the head. I wouldn't use this more than a few times since I don't think the dragging cloth is good for it.

Catherine Pacheco: The quality is much less than I expected. I had to run it through the VCR multiple times to bring my picture back. I got what I paid for. I will not purchase this item again. :-(

Christine: First one was stuck would not play seemed glued. I think that they are as old as VCR technology, for they felt dried out? I had to wet it 4 or 5 times and tap it, slap lightly, before it would stay on to do it's job(i really wanted it to work) . After I saturated it, it advanced and I waited 24 hours and did it as instructed. And it worked😃
