Amazon Customer: First time it gets wet, it puffs up the middle to make it like a barrel, then it hardens like that. There's no softness or quish to it. I expected it to be much softer like a real lufa. It hurts when you try to scrub your back, kinda like a softer SOS scrub pad.

JJJJ: We returned these because the pin fastening the wooden handle to the loofah was clearly protruding through the loofah (see pics). The material may expand a bit when wet, but I wasn't going to take that chance.

Pqvital: My son has mild condition Keratosis Pilaris on his arms and bought this natural loofah as part of his treatment. In one month we have seen improvements on his skin condition and reduced the irritation, just this loofah and a good moisturizer, makes a big difference. I like it because the loofah feels natural, not treated with bleach, so it will retain the natural feeling, not too soft not to rough perfect ... I'm just now looking for a similar one but more compact.
