This product is shipped dehydrated, expecting you to soak to expand before using it. After soaking, mine did not puff up as big as advertised. However, it is still very good at exfoliating, retaining suds, and cleaning your body! 4/5 stars only because of not expanding as big as advertised.

yessica: After trying every loofah on the market and having to switch out for a new one every couple of weeks or so I finally came across this one. This loofah is a bit big, but not to the extent where you can’t hold it and at first it’s a bit rough, but it feels so amazing because you feel so clean and it exfoliates your skin. They are extremely durable I believe the last time I purchased them was maybe 6 months ago and now when I re purchased I really didn’t have to because the other ones were still in great conditions. I’ll definitely keep buying these loofahs!

DB: To the people leaving reviews about finding things in the Loofah, and saying they found bugs or insect eggs.... Do you know what a Loofah is??!! It is a living growing fruit, that when fully mature can have 30 or more seeds that are dark brown or black in color. Immature seeds are white in color. Please stop leaving stupid negative reviews if you do not know what you are talking about. Google a picture of a Loofah seed, I bet it looks exactly like the horrible thing you "found" in your Loofah. To those complaining they were flat. Yes, they normally ship them flat. Did you actually use the Loofah a few times? I bet it ended up getting pretty big and poofy after a few uses. And yes, not every Loofah will be exactly the same because, once again, it started out as a living growing fruit! Please people start leaving intelligent reviews! These Loofahs are great, they are exfoliating, and do exactly what they were intended to do. Plus they are a very nice size, and they hold up very well.

KenzieKenzie: I’ve used this loofah once thus far and I have nothing but good impressions!

I was expecting something a decent size, but this puffs up to be huge! I would estimate 4 inches wide and about 8 1/2 inches long. It is a little rough even after soaking for the recommended 10 minutes, but it does soften a decent amount. I almost want to soak it overnight and see how that affects it, but I was expecting something a little more course so if it doesn’t, that’s fine with me. The only thing I will say is that if you have skin sensitive to exfoliation, it might not be the product for you or you may not want to use it all the time. If you’re into natural and biodegradable products, I might recommend a sea sponge instead or in conjunction with this.

I have to give some major props to the vendor because it came in absolutely zero plastic packaging sans the bag that Amazon puts it in and they even give you a cute little reusable bag. I’ll be buying from them again!

Mom2TwinglesMom2Twingles: Once rehydrated, this was a lot larger than I had expected (because I’m used to tiny, store-bought ones). The loofa is a bit rougher than the standard shower pouf, but I found it’s all about the amount of pressure I apply that determines how much exfoliation I get. After all, I bought it FOR the exfoliation properties! I use much less body wash, but my skin feels cleaner and much softer. I had almost cut the loofa in half (width wise) thinking it would be awkward to hold, but decided to try it once whole. So glad I did NOT cut it! I can now clean my back quite easily (had considered buy a long handheld brush), so that was an added bonus. Once wet, it’s quite easy to hold and use. I also received a round face scrubber that is a bit harsher than I’d like, so I simply use gentle pressure. Overall, my skin is much softer and absorbs lotion much better. I’m glad I finally decided to do something nice for my skin, after a year of ‘neglect’ due to COVID and all that came with sheltering in place (aka, not having to people). Oh!
