Daniel J. Wiseman: They are a very solid plastic construction and the clasp holding them shut feels very sturdy. I don't know why identical clips are so much money. If your gym never seems to have any clips available these are worth the money ten times over.

Kevin Suvimonvong: The media could not be loaded. It's a well designed clamp. The gym we signed up for didn't have clamps, so we took to Amazon to buy a pair. The clamps held the weights well, even through explosive movements. It has an accidental release guard which could or could not be unnecessary, but it's pretty simple to remove still. Great value for the money. I'll update if things go wrong in the future.

Pete: The media could not be loaded. Work well - they needed to be retightened after being dropped 15 times from overhead with 135 when they developed maybe 1/4” of a gap. Seem to be a good value.
Note: this item shipped with a “$3-5 Amazon Gift Card” if you left a review - which is why I gave it my honest thoughts. However, they then told me that to get that gift card, I had to make it a 5-star review. Shady business practices.
