NarGuy: The primary use for this lock cable is to secure our wood splitter to a near by tree or post. We are frequently splitting wood near roads and makes the splitter vulnerable to thief. This cable is a nice length for being able to reach a secure object. The clear rubber coating to the cable makes easy to handle. If not using it for our wood splitter the cable is ideal for securing a cluster of family bikes on an outing.

Max Daniel Dunbar: I had to use it for pulling out a full side van loaded that was buried up to the bumper and and stuck and the truck had to pull it out tires smoking and it pulled through and got the van free..because the tow strap kept braking that was designed for pulling.. but it didn’t break Until it was free and the truck took off while the van was in park then it snapped..I think the guy in truck was upset about his smoking tires after using the the cable..and tore the loop clean off.. but it was a good demonstration of strength it has for being meant for keeping my bike safe otherwise..I really liked the cable afor how long i got to use it with my thumbprint pad lock..great add on..so I give it my highest recommendation as a strong cable..

Gobi Gladiator: Used this cable to secure my Tenere 700 onto the trailer to help prevent turds from stealing the bike while traveling across country.

With the state of our country and the dramatic rise in thefts and vandalism I wasn’t going to take a chance and have the bike walk off when I have my back turned. The cable is stout enough to make it a minor chore to cut through with a hacksaw and probably a couple minute task to cut with bolt cutters… which the mouth breathers have an aversion to (any amount of work or effort). The cable along with a good lock serves that deterrent.
