Dr. SVP: After quite a few years my security battery had to be replaced. My son was able to detach the contacts from the old battery and immediately attach the new battery that had been delivered in a very secure manner. The low battery indication did not disappear immediately as the system needed time to recognize the new stronger battery. Next morning the low battery indicator was gone. You can't beat the price, now only time will tell if it was a good sale.

Richard: The backup battery (12V / 4.5maH) in my home alarm system went bad after 8 years. I chose this Weize battery due to its low cost and the extra AH it provided. Installed it and it seems to operate just fine. No issues. Will see how long it lasts.
BTW: This battery has F1 terminals (the small size). Make sure to check your existing battery terminal size before ordering.

Steve A. Weiden: I am not easily impressed by people and organizations just doing what they are paid to do. This small order however deserves a review. The battery was exactly as described and was absolutely correct in all dimensions. Big deal. That’s what I paid for. The packaging however was extraordinary! This little item could have survived a nuclear blast. A very sturdy outer box (almost standard fare) containing another sturdy box and protected by crushable packing. Inside the second box was a form fitting styrofoam container about 12mm thick all around AND inside of this was the battery tightly bagged inside cellophane! Wow. Other shippers should pay such attention. I know batteries of most any sort receive special packaging but this was a spill proof seal battery. In any event I was impressed and very satisfied with my purchase!

Jim DJim D: I noticed a flashing "POWER" light on our INTERLOGIX NX-148E home alarm system control unit. When I checked further the control indicated a "CONTROL BATTERY LOW" message which means the backup battery power is low. Our backup battery was nearly five years old so I wasn't surprised to see the code. I ordered the Weize 12V 5AH Lead Acid SLA Rechargeable Battery on Amazon Prime and it was delivered like clockwork two days later. I checked the charge level on the new battery and it arrived nearly fully charged. To replace the old battery simply disconnect the Positive ("+" RED) and Negative ("-" BLACK) wires and then reconnect them to the new battery. HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART: YOU MUST RESET/REBOOT THE ALARM SYSTEM IN A VERY SPECIFIC ORDER IN ORDER FOR IT TO RECOGNIZE THE NEW BATTERY AND STOP THE FLASHING POWER LIGHT. To reset/reboot the system do the following in the SPECIFIC ORDER I've shown below:
1.) Power-down the entire alarm system. Disconnect BOTH the new backup battery AND the alarm system AC power adapter. Your alarm control unit will be blank and show nothing when your system is powered-down.

The longevity of the battery will have to be seen. The one that I replaced lasted 12 years, so we will just have to see.
