RockerFeller: Bought the 1st 12V 200AH battery in May 2022 for 420W solar system, its been running with no issue. Then upgraded in Oct 2022 with another battery of same model in parallel for total 12V 400AH 840W solar system with no issue. Further upgraded to 1500W solar system in June 2023, and the same 2 JITA batteries are now connected in series to become 24V 200AH system. Reason for 24V system is to reduce the amperage output from the solar charger and a new 24V power inverter with a large single ultra quiet fan.
Despite the fact that it is recommended to use batteries that are manufactured within 30 days of each other, decided to try how well the 2 batteries work in parallel and then in series which are about 5 months separated in age, system still works great parallel configuration, and now currently 24v series configuration. Now I am waiting for JITA to come out with 24V 300AH battery that I can afford.

Bob: I've only had this a few days, but so far, I am excited about this. I replaced two deep cycle 6V batteries in my Class A motorhome, which have been nothing but trouble. They would dry out when hooked to shore power, cause acid leaks if the water spilled when refilling, and generally did not handle winter storage. This one simple box installed easily without cables all over the place. It charges to 13.3 just of the rig's converter. I was worried about whether there would be enough cranking power to start the generator, and it did that well without hesitation. I don't boondoggle and I don't have solar; I just want something to keep the lights, fans, and perhaps furnace working if the campsite loses shore power for a while. I am extremely pleased so far, and kick myself for putting up with those deep cycle lead batteries for the past few years.

Ralph Furlong: First, a couple of thoughts. Lithium batteries that have the same amp hour rating as a lead acid battery actually deliver twice the time in use that a lead acid battery does. Also, a golf cart draws either 56 or 75 amps, depending on whether it is 48 or 36 volt. So, a lead acid battery with a 100 AH rating will run a 56 Amp (48 volt) golf cart for about 50 minutes. A 100 AH Lithium battery will run the same golf cart 100 minutes. The reason is lead acid voltage drops as the current is drawn while a Lithium stays at pretty much a constant voltage. So, if you hook the batteries up correctly to get your 48 volts ( 4 batteries connected in series which means positive to negative to positive to negative to positive to negative, everything will work just fine.
In my case, I was powering up a motorhome. What I had before was 8 100AH lead acid batteries connected in parallel which provided me with 800AH or 400 AH of usable battery. I replaced that with two 300 AH Lithium batteries which took up less space, weighs considerably less and yet gave me 600 AH of usable power instead of the 400 that I had before!!
I have now used it several times boondocking and they work great. I...
