We got these for my father who is always cold in bed. We put it between his sheet and blanket, his body heat is reflected back at him and helps keep him warm. It’s a very low tech solution, but it works.
The foil blanket itself is quite thin, and you need to handle it with care or it will rip. Once it is on the bed and under sheets it stays in once piece and does it’s job
