I used to make bread when the kids were little. I knew what went into the bread they were eating. The yeast you find on the store shelf, in my opinion has been junk. The bread wouldn't rise. It didn't taste good, so I stopped baking as much. I recently purchased ONE IN A MILL instant dry yeast! It is shelf stable, and just works great. I also found Bob's Red Mill Artisan Bread flour! I am on my 16 loaf of bread. I have given a couple out to neighbors who fell in love with bread again! 🍞 The yeast is wonderful!

Great product, works as expected. I’m just bummed that the product arrived damaged as it made a big yeasty mess all over the place. Besides a popped package I’m very happy with this yeast.

This is the best yeast I've used for breadmaking. After cutting across the top, the nice 'pillow' packet which is tucked on each corner conveniently stays open, and the inside is coated with a surface that the yeast doesn't stick to, so it slides right out and I don't need to fuss to get the last bits out. After folding the opened end for storage and then reopening, it doesn't develop a tight crease like the foil-laminated packets do. Therefore it is more convenient to dispense the product than with other standard brands. Plus, this yeast seems to be a bit more potent. Initially, I found it was over-rising the dough which later caused the loaf to fall, but after I adjusted the amount a bit lower, it has worked just fine – 2 teaspoons for a 2-lb. loaf in my Zojijushi breadmaker, which I use to make whole wheat bread once a week.
