Greg: I used this to control LED accent lighting in a room with did not have a physical wall switch. It integrates with Home Assistant flawlessly, and there are blueprints out there that make setup a breeze.

Kevin S.: I am coming from INSTEON 8 Button Keypanels and I must say that these things are great. I ordered one as a test and just ordered 7 more of them. They work great with Home Assistant. The colored indicator lights make all kinds of use cases possible.

Jordan: I'm so impressed with the ease of install, instructions, quick install of drivers and integration into my smartthings hub I want to replace every other non zooz switch in the house. Well worth the money!!

Persnickety: I'm using homeseer and getting this to work *for my application* required some scripting. Basically when the button is pushed, it's status has to be cleared otherwise it remembers that is was pushed. I wanted it to act like a momentary switch, just like the buttons for the garage doors...I mean lets keep life simple for the users.

The lights are controlled completely independently of the switch state in my setup. There is a switch on the garage door itself that lets homeseer know the state of the garage door. So when that switch is open the light turns red indicating the garage door is open, when the switch is closed, the light turns green.

This little setup has worked out PERFECTLY. It is easy to see the door status without having to poke my head in the garage. It gives a very convenient place *inside* the house to control both doors. ( It is also setup to announce the opening and closing of those doors with a spoken sentence.)

The switch itself turns some deck lights on and off (non-dimmable led's so it worked out nicely). And I have two buttons left ... need to figure some other equally useful task for them!

Getting the entire...

Reggy: Après avoir lu différents commentaires, j' aurais probablement tenu compte de la durabilité des 4 boutons de scènes qui semble avoir de fissures après un certain temps.

Francis P.: From a conceptual perspective, I love the idea behind this product.

You get a main switch connected to a relay, that can turn and off whatever it is that the light switch you're replacing used to control. This can be deactivated if you intend on controlling smart bulbs instead.

All the buttons have their own dedicated RGB LED that you can customize do your liking and even use as notification lights if you choose to do so.

Each button can store up to 7 routines. From single press to quintuple press, hold and release. That's up to 35 programmable actions from this little scene controller. This is nuts and honestly a bit overkill.

I have installed 2 of these controllers, one in my bedroom, that control the lights and my smart speaker. For example, when I want to relax, I hit the blue button and the lights turn on at 35% brightness, orange color and a playlist starts to play on my google home. It works flawlessly.

I am however experiencing a sporadic issue where the relay will sometimes turn off, even though I disabled the physical switch through the settings. When I was setting the RGB colors on the buttons, I noticed the main...

JH: This is a great product with a ton of flexibility. Provides direct control of one circuit, and then 4 other buttons. Each button can be programmed to perform different actions on press, double press, hold, etc, which really gives you a ton of possibilities. There is a Home Assistant blueprint out there already for this switch, which makes it super easy to program to control whatever you want. Directions are pretty clear too, though I ultimately had to call an electrician to install mine but that's because I needed a 2-way install and those can get confusing. After getting some help, the two-way control also works flawlessly. Build quality is also nice, and Zooz actually will provide you with firmware updates, which for some reason a lot of other manufacturers refuse to do. Zooz also supports a bunch of home automation platforms, and their support and documentation are quite good.

My only minor ding is that the main switch is only a toggle, no dimming, but that's fine for my uses.

All that praise provide, I would only really recommend this for someone with a big home automation setup. Otherwise most of the best functionality would be wasted... like...

John: I have installed a lot of different zwave switches. GE, Leviton, etc. I have approx. 40 zwave devices on my smartthings hub. Zooz are by far the best pairing, best features, easiest to wire and best looking. The size is smaller than most smart switches which helps when you are replacing standard switches and the switch box is smaller and packed with wire.

Lance: This is exactly what SmartThings has been needing! A proper scene controller!

With the instructions on the Zooz website it took No time to have this set up and working properly. As an electrician who regularly installed these types of systems into high end homes (Lutron systems) it's nice to see an affordable version for the every day person.

I bought one to play with, but I will definitely be buying more when the time comes.

Michael M: At first glance this looks like a very useful device that has 1 main button to control a local load plus 4 small buttons wich can be used to set scenes or act as virtual 3-way switches when associated with other Z-Wave load switches. I thought these would be the perfect way to update my 15 year old Insteon keypads and start migrating to Z-Wave.

The first weakness of this device shows up as soon as you include it into your Z-Wave network and find that no child devices get created for the small scene buttons. Instead the small buttons just modify the scene value in the central scene device. This means you can't just refer to the individual button status in rules or events within your automation controller but instead have to jump through hoops to detect central scene value changes and associate them back to the buttons. Why in the world make such a nice piece of hardware and then cripple it this way by not creating simple child devices so it can be straight forward to actually use it?

You can do Z-Wave direct associations between the small buttons and another switch to establish a virtual 3-way switch configuration but there is no way to do a reverse...
