sickboysickboy: Super easy to set up! I have an older garage door opener and it goes into a "Blinking mode" that doesn't stop for months on end. I have tried everything and the last advice was to buy a new motherboard for it. But it is no longer made.

I pull up to my driveway and hit a button on the app and the door opens almost as quick as the old opener. Just perfect for my application 👌

I will be installing a complete new door, door opener and drive later this year, but it is working so well that there is absolutely no urgency now- love it!

Jordan Jordan : I left on vacation for a month and bought two of these. One for my back door and one for my front. THEY WORKED ALL MONTH. The app is easy to use and so is set up. I tested it a few times then scheduled the lights to click on every evening and turn off during the day. I was able to monitor if they worked from my ring doorbell. THEY DID! Love this idea if you cant afford a house sitter or like certain lights on at certain times! The mechanism is a tad bulky but you can still easily operate the switch once installed. I would only use for lights you don't use super regularly but that is just me!

I know have my porch lights on a schedule just so my husband can come in from work and be able to see!

DC2Kids: Update: I was contacted by customer service regarding my concerns detailed in my previous review. It was explained to me that this is a start-up company and I was offered either a full refund or a hub mini. Since there are no comparable products on the market, I chose the hub mini. These two devices together work flawlessly. I was able to connect to my home Wi-Fi without issue and then connect to my Amazon Alexa. From the Alexa app I can turn my device on or off from pretty much anywhere. Definitely a unique product.

If you’re planning to turn on anything with this from just a short distance away using the Bluetooth on your phone, you’ll be sorely disappointed. I have a very small house and the Bluetooth doesn’t reach from one end to the other. If you want WiFi capability, you’ll have to purchase another $20+ item to add that. I gave it three stars as opposed to one because the scheduling feature actually works once set, regardless of whether you’re in range or not. So it’s not completely useless. But it’s pretty close.

Kishan Dattani: Bought this item to give my electric bathroom towel radiator timer functionality. I had gotten quotes to physically change the switch to a timer and this was going to be £60-80 so thought this could do the job and it does for much cheaper.

Installation was easy and guides you through it step by step. To unlock the full smart functionality and smart home integration you do need do buy a 'smart hub' that is compatible, but if you simply want to use this device as a timer for a switch then you can do this as a stand alone.

I have seen reviews for the switch mechanism being weak but if you have any relatively new switch then it'll be able to work comfortably.

Very happy with the product, although I have just installed it! Let's see how long it holds...

Leonardo Ruiz: Fácil de programar, hace bien su trabajo. La app es excesivamente sencilla y no es muy intuitiva. Hay video tutoriales en caso de ser necesario en Youtube. A mi me hace un gran trabajo y está trabajando desde hace 6 meses sin cambiarle las pilas. Por otra parte, el Bluetooth tiene gran alcance, en mi caso unos 10 metros dentro de casa, pero eso dependerá de cada construcción (muros, varillas metálicas, etc). Muy satisfecho con el resultado, tan solo mejorable la app.

Deksam: For nearly 4 years my garage door opener hasn't worked properly. It's an older model and it keeps getting unpaired with the remote. Garage door repair person said we need a new system, but we are going to remove the garage doors entirely in the next couple years so we didn't want to waste money.

Welcome the Switchbot Smart Switch. Instead of paying hundreds on a new garage door opener, we spent around 30 or so for a swith to press the garage door button for us.

It works pretty well. The app is not the easiest thing to use, but once you download it, the switchbot will automatically get detected as long as your bluetooth is on. From there, you can set up a password for it, then you'll need to input the password again it's set to connect to the system.

At one point, something went wrong and I couldn't get it to connect, there's a little button on the inside of the switchbot to reset the bot back to default. I pressed it, but it didn't actually reset the password, but it did get me to a point where I could connect it back up to my phone. This is just a heads up, in case you do need to reset the unit back to default, you may need to hold that...
