The bearings in the pedals I received rotated with a lot of friction. In retrospect, I saw in the comments that others also complained about it. A few hammer blows and lubrication loosened the bearings.

Pedals seem like a strong and sturdy replacement. Time will tell. Markings on the end of the shaft indicate they are for the right or left pedal (although they are very small to read). Valve caps included are too small for my tires.
