I would have rated 5-stars but one of the bags started to deflate by the next day. Otherwise, I was quite happy with the quality of the other 2 bags. Maybe it was a one-off defect. Anyway, time will tell if the other two will hold up.

The ziploc brand vacuum bags have stayed airtight for a little over a month now with absolutely no visible signs of air having escaped. The original space bags I used the same day have been vacuumed twice and are still leaking air somehow. I plan to toss them and buy more ziploc. The ziploc bags are very thin and I felt they were at risk for ripping if I slid them across the attic floor. This is why I also bought the heftier original space bags thinking they would be less likely to rip...that heft doesn't matter if they aren't airtight. I will update my response late Fall when I empty the ziploc bags if I see any rips or evidence they were compromised. I fully expect them to be reusable for next year's storage provided I handle them carefully.

These are especially durable for storage or traveling, though you’d need access to a vacuum to fit everything for the return trip. These “large” bags are much more useful for storing winter clothes in small batches than the “XL” or larger sizes.

These bags were not as big as I expected (I should have checked the dimensions more closely), but the quality was great and they stayed sealed during my move. The best thing about them was the cap where you hook up your vacuum. Most I have used have a cap that screws off, this one had a cap that popped open and could not fall off! Great design, I don’t know why all space bags don’t have this!
