maXmood: Install was very easy out of the box, didn't even need to read the instructions to assemble it. build quality isn't the best, i'm sure there are better quality out there, but it does the job.

However, my issue with it is, since this mostly blocks the air instead of redirecting it, the AC unit ambient sensor is tricked into believing the room has reached the set temperature (because the cold air is now all over the AC unit). e.g. if it's set at 24c, because of the deflector, the AC sensor would think the room has reached this temperature and would reduce the cooling by shutting down the compressor unit and only operating the fan.

i tried to overcome this by reducing the temperature even lower, but apparently it acts the same. So, if you have an AC with ambient sensor (basically these type of ACs are made with power saving in mind) you might face the same problem.

I bought 2 of these, 1 for a small room (3m x 4m), the other for larger room (5m x 6m). While the issue explained above is for the larger room, it worked fine for the smaller room. Because even when the AC compressor shuts down for 5-10mins, the room is still cool. but for the larger room, it didn't...

Cheriel: Just remember with this in the summer angle the cool air and winter put the panel up so the heat can warm up the room

DaniaDania: We put in an oversized mini-split in our bedroom. Problem was, it was aimed at the bed regardless of how we aimed it. This unit took care of the problem, but it is not without flaws.

First the good stuff:

1. This is extremely adjustable
2. It blocks direct flow and deflects the air nicely. Along with a ceiling fan, this was a fantastic solution to freezing our butts off in bed.
3. The price was about right for the quality and functionality.

Now the cons:

1. The two sided tape that comes with it is very weak and had to be replaced after just a few days. (As you can see in the picture, it is sagging on one side)
2. We put it at the longest (most far away setting) from the air conditioner that we could, but it created a situation where the air conditioner thinks it is cooler in the bedroom that it is due to the back flow to the thermostat in the AC unit. Means we have to put the AC setting lower to achieve a cooler setting.
3. It took our sleek looking AC unit and gave it a not so sleek look.

All in all, it solved the problem, but it would be better if it was a smooth look rather than the ribbed looked that it has and perhaps if it was...

Randy the Really Rad Reviewer: This product is a flimsy piece of worthless garbage. You will be better off with a piece of cardboard duct-taped to your unit. Comes with Chinese instructions but was easy enough to figure out that it just loosely hangs off of the mini-split and is barely secured by weak adhesive strips on the back for some reason...? It just finds new ways to fall apart every day so I just threw it in the garbage. Please don't waste your 30 bucks.

JGV: Too flimsy to be effective. Connections don’t hold during installation. Top adhesive strip useless on our unit.

Save your money and buy white Bristol board and white duck tape.

Guy: Le produit est très mal conçu. Les bras d'ajustements ne sont pas assez long pour bien diriger le flux d'air. Le déflecteur, en trois partie se défait lorsque'allonger à son maximum, il se démonte, obligation de mettre de l'adhésif pour qu'il tienne... Les ajustements d'air sont en trois position seulement, et ne permettent pas un ajustement adéquat... Alors, très déçu pour un produit Prime qui devrait être beaucoup plus performant. Je ne le retournerai pas, ce serait trop dispendieux, et je demande à Amazone, de ne pas en faire la promotion avec Prime. Merci !

I own two of them, as they helped me to solve two different problems: (1) air coming from above when in bed and (2) air straight to my face when in my home office. In both cases this device worked as a charm. Very easy to install (if you can solve very simple puzzles, then you don't even need to see the instructions).
