I've used pressure cookers for over 35 years and this is the easiest and most versatile one I've ever used. Cooks rice perfectly, so I no longer need a separate rice cooker. I've retired my crock pots too, as this appliance takes the place of them as well. Looking forward to trying the many other features available on this unit. We used a NInja Foodi for the past 4 years, but it so big and clumsy and I really didn't like the hinged lid, as it was in the way and hard to clean.

Wildwood Flower: I have only used this once and I was amazed at how quickly the food was done. When I let the steam out, there was way more pressure then the InstaPot that I threw away. It's very simple to use. This is my new best friend! Hated the InstaPot but love this. Update on previous review. Worked great for five months and now I am without a cooker. It quit. Update:. Contacted Zavor about the pot quitting and in a week I had a new one delivered! Talk about easy to contact! I sent email and had a response in two days. I sent the photos of the pot and received a new one. So blessed because I really loved how this pot works for everything!

John Miller:
I was crushed - CRUSHED - when my Fagor multi-cooker died. I'd had it for years, and used it all the time for both slow cooking and pressure cooking. I knew Fagor had left the USA market. I dreaded having to get an insta-pot.
Imagine my delight, when poking around to maybe find some remnant of back stock, that Fagor USA was reborn as Zavor! As quick as my little fingers could smash 'buy now' I put that puppy into my cart.
What do I love about it? Check out the Cooks Illustrated review for their hot take, but also here are mine:
It's big enough to cook a big meal in.
Lots of configurability in the controls. Pretty identical to the insta-pot in this regard.
Delay start with slow cook. This is difficult to find in slow cookers in the USA. If you're going to leave your house in the morning and want dinner when you return in the evening, for us the amount of time away (generally 9-ish hours) was too long for many dishes. Delay start is the way to go.
It gets hot - HOT - in the brown/saute function. Combined with an almost completely flat cooking surface (the very edge is slightly dipped - this is a good thing to allow even...

ok folks at zavor, i'm glad you tried, I really am. that said, I am just saying "no" to your current pot.
I've been using a variety of multi cookers for some time now, saying that to establish i'm not a newbie, let's go forward.
at first try, it was very hard to get the plug to plug into the pot....eventually it was plugged in. however, on my second try, it again remained hard to plug...this w/the knowledge that I already knew it was tricky.
in an effort to understand the pot and it's functions, i decided to simply play around w/a pot of water. yes, eventually i got to where the water was decently boiling. filled it up a few times and just let it steam for a while.
but then.... when i took out the pot the whole bottom was pitted, it had the rainbow look to it. this is no quality pot... and i wouldn't trust the food cooked in the thing. I've posted a pic of the pitting. the pic is a little blacker than reality, but you can clearly see the pitting. one could try and say it's my water source.....well, i have pots SS pots from a lot of other multicookers here and not one of them ever did this. and no, it wasn't cooked dry, i had...

Sandra Goldman: The product is easy to use, especially after reading the directions! I use it especially for rice and millet because they turn out very well. Today I am trying a slow-cook whole chicken - in for about 5 hours.
