This is the stickiest tape I have ever seen. It works great at holding down your rugs. One word of warning..be careful where you place this tape. It actually pulled the threads from the back of the rug. Place the tape as close to the edge of your rug as possible. The product came fast and I would buy from this seller again.

The roll came with plenty of tape, but it tended to bunch up when I was trying to cut it. That means I wasted a bit on the ends. I finally used a box cutter to cut it while still on the roll and that worked much better except I ended up cutting through to the next layer of tape a couple of times. That was no big deal but it wasted a few more inches here and there. Once I got it placed on the carpet, it has worked very well to keep it in place.

**To save anyone reading this some time, this review is about how to get this off a carpet mostly... Great Sticky Product though! With that out of the way...
I got a new rug for the living room to go on top of the existing carpeted floor but the rug kept "sliding forward" towards the entertainment center even though the side furthest away from the entertainment center is underneath the legs of the sofa/recliner where I sit. It seems to creep forward due to sitting/standing-up in the sofa and the reclining motion. After the 3rd day the rug is bunching up against the entertainment center. After moving it back its bunched up again after day 3.
I looked up "double sided tape to hold carpet to carpet" on Amazon and I made the mistake and only briefly glanced at reviews and the ones I read said something about "it holds carpet to carpet, works great, and is easy to come off, no residue". I missed the ones about its very, very hard to remove.
After peeling back the paper and putting it on the carpet I realized this would NOT be easy to come off. I re-read the Amazon reviews, and well, hindsight is 20/20.....
If this stayed on the carpet...
