Megan Arnette: Everything was good about the underlayment except the Styrofoam balls in between the layers. When you cut it they tend to go everywhere but it didn't affect the durability or installation at all. It's great and my floors are installed with no issues.

Mimi: This was an easy product to install. Found that the small white ball issue when cutting that some reviews stated was minimized when using scissors instead of a utility knife. Seems to be quiet and warm. Great value at half the price of the flooring stores.

The Jeffster: Previously we had used quietwalk, and was very satisified.

This time we had a larger area to do, and decided to try this underlay to save a few costs. This was based on the STC ratings which are almost the same.

Its easy to install with the built in tape, although the little styrofoam bubbles can get messy when cutting.

Its pretty good, but going from carpet to laminate we hear a bit more noise than before. I keep thinking the quietwalk would have been worth the upgrade. Although, roberts also makes a felt underlay as well but we couldnt get it in time.

Barbara Thompson: I was satisfied that the underlayment was enough coverage for the entire redo of my first floor level. I was glad that as one roll for the amount of coverage that I needed, even though my contractor looked a little awkward having to roll such a large roll out. It was convenient for me, because I had so much material and products around the house being stored. It was reasonably priced, compared to other big box stores. The delivery of it was on point. I would highly recommend to anyone. Ordering made my life a lot less stressful.

marina: Great stuff. Install is easy largely because of the built in joint tape. It helps dampen sound and surprisingly, my floor is warmer than with the last underlay. Square footage is accurate as it was just enough to cover what I had measured.

MDYak: Great product, extremely satisfied. Easy to install and holds up to foot traffic prior to laying flooring material. The adhesive strip which overlaps any adjacent material rolled out worked really well - no issues. Requires a good sharp box cutter to cut this material - tougher than it looks.

Jack: Did a lot of research on underlayment. Took a chance on this product. Very happy I did. Saved money and got expert results. Easy to work with. No tears , no rips as I installed. Reduced noise level of the hardwood when I completed my job. Very happy.

Kamohomoho: This product is delicate. I would NOT recommend you stand it on end. Plan the cuts and the position of the pad. Make a layout diagram if necessary. Have space to cut the pad, as measuring it on the fly is difficult. The styrofoam balls scatter easily from the cuts you make. Sweep and vacuum the debris regularly. Seal any tears in the very tin green thin plastic topside as they occur. Painters tape or the red tape for padding will do. Protect the pad if you will be walking over it to any extent. Take your shoes off if you are working on this material. I would not recommend you have it rising up at the edges. Keep it flat. I stapled it down a bit. that helped to keep it from sliding. Before you start, understand how the sticky tape edge works. Once you are rolling it's hard to go back. Remove any cut pieces and bag them. You may need them later, and they will just create a snowstorm of white balls across the work area if you don't.

I like the product, I don't know if it is exactly what I need but it is reasonably priced. My 12mm clickish Laminate went down easily over this pad, but I had to constantly clear away plastic balls. Again the thing the pros know is how to...

Tony Di LorenzoTony Di Lorenzo: A quality underlayment product that is very easy to install, feels good underfoot, and does dampen sound transmission. I installed this on the second floor of my house in my childrens bedrooms under engineered hardwood. Rolling out the product, cutting, and joining sections was very straight forward. The flap over tape is super handy and reduces the need to buy and employ even more products. Product sits down well and did not tear even as I walked, squatted, stretched, etc on it while installing the hardwood. I did a side by side test to feel and hear the engineered hardwood with and without the underlayment and the difference was noticeable. Price was right and shipping was quick. I would use this again and recommend it to others.

I have installed 5 floating floors and this is the first time I used this product. Any floating floor I every do will be with this going forward. The product is fantastic. Very easy to work with. The overlap adhesive worked well for me and I had minimal mess from the white balls. Used household scissors to cut this.

Installed the cheapest floor I could find (in stores) on top of this. It takes all of the echo/hollow sound out of it. As well as gives nice cushion and warmth. This application went right over a poured concrete floor. The finished piece compared to the bare concrete was noticeably warmer.
