Double-Sided Heavy Duty Rug Tape - Keep Area Rugs Securely in Place

DC: I've been putting off finding a solution to stop my living room rug from moving - this tape is awesome! The material is thick enough to stick to and support the weight of the rug. It was so easy to install, my kids helped put them on the corners of the carpet runner as well.

felixia: I always use pads under my rugs. This tape works to attach them together and to keep them from sliding. It also works on my other larger pieces to my wood floor. Doesn’t leave any residue after removing.

Monica: Tape works great when you go around the whole perimeter of the carpet/rug. If you just use it in a few spots, I found it not to be strong enough and the carpet would move. I also tried using it for my kids paper poster on their walls but it's not strong enough for that. Very easy to use.

IBrown: Researching carpet tape basically gets you two types of 1-star reviews (and I generally read those first); it's not sticky enough or it's so sticky it pulled up the hardwood floor finish. This tape is sticky enough that it holds down the corners of my rugs so the robot vacuum doesn't have trouble with them and when I pulled one up to clean it the hardwood floor was fine and there wasn't tape mess stuck on the floor.

Most importantly it came off the rug in a couple large pieces without messing up the rug or requiring a huge cleanup effort.

I know nothing about taping rugs to carpets, I would probably use a poky mat between them instead of adhesive in that use case anyway. I would assume most people are using this to affix a rug to a hard surface, and I can say this product is good for that.

Details:

- You won't be able to tear it. It's not impossible, but it deforms heavily before it rips. This isn't the backing (which tears easily), it's the actual tape part.
- Cutting it with scissors went fine, the small amount of residue after doing several rugs came off in a few seconds with a sprits of Goo Gone

L. SCHAPER: I bought a huge and relatively inexpensive rug to cover the crappy study carpet in my rental. It took no time at all for the rug to move around every time I walked on it, plus it refused to lie flat from where the table legs were. I was about to give up and then I bought this tape and it was a total gamechanger. The rug was so 'warped' that it took 2 of us to pull the rug back into shape and stick it down to the carpet - but it worked and my rug hasn't moved since we taped it down 3 months ago. Highly recommend!

Melanie: This stuff saved the day... it was my final attempt, after many months, at getting my polyester rug to stay put on nylon carpet. Either the rug would win and be banished - or I would win and it would complete my decor. And thanks to this carpet tape, I WON!
