maya: This was an easy fix, got my AC working again!! Measure the diameter before ordering, there are 2 different hose sizes. Mine was the smaller one.

jarofclay73: This really saved us! Our portable A/C company could’ve bilked us for a lot of money for a vent replacement hose but they don’t even sell a replacement. Went on Amazon and found a suitable replacement. Took a little while to get the adapters on it but once it was on it worked like a champ. It’s actually a little longer than the one provided by the manufacturer.

Ariana: This AC hose looked to be more sturdy and flexible than originals that came with my Royal Sovereign & Honeywell that had deteriorated over 8 summers of constant use. I took off one star, due to it not fitting either A.C unit. I did see a Review that said it was a struggle to fit on, so as it was already sweltering hot, I tried and tried and tried. It got totally stuck onto the Coupler window attachment and it really took all my strength to pull it off. I had to jump on the damn thing at one point. But to no avail would it fit onto AC unit couplers. It was just slightly to large. Even tho I measured and both were 5'', must have been a miniscule amount off.
Yes I could have used duct tape and even noticed some hoses come with duct tape. But as it is these Portables are not as capable as Window units. I am not allowed a window unit in my building. So I really want these to be as efficient as possible with heat going up to 45c & more in my old well insulated building. Really, is this Rocket Science?
And why don't the manufacturers make replacement parts accessible?
