Judy L. Parker: doing what it is supposed to. it connected to the a/c hose that comes with the unit. however, the hose that attaches to the cooler doesn't stay attached. we ended up duct taping it to the a/c.

N Wayne: I needed a replacement for a potable air unit and did my research. Everyone's selling replacements for the big brands but as far as I could tell, only 2 common sizes on these. One about 5 inches, one about 6". I had one about 6, so ordered this one which is supposed to be a direct replacement but low and behold was slightly bigger than the one I had. It would not screw into fittings, nor was it big enough to go over them and clamp.
My solution if this happens to you is that I used 2 small pieces my old hose as couplers for fittings. They actually threaded into this hose. I gave a few stars because I was able to is it with some work. Quality also looks ok. Seemed just like old one when was new.
Disappointing because I could have ordered original replacement but was twice as much but assumed this would fit and it really should have since I have a big brand a.c.
Beware. Next Time I might just spend the extra to make sure it fits. Don't let this happen to you.

Hasn’t gave me any problems with placement and direction
Hold firm from window to AC unit even though it’s not being supported by anything other than the window attachment and the AC.
Able to move around freely without problem
