B. Kibbey: I purchased the single, 1 lb hammer. For the price point, I have been rather impressed.

The weight is good, the shot helps to convey energy, and the material strikes a perfect balance between being soft enough it won't mar even relatively soft surfaces (in my case pine and douglas fir) while being durable enough it doesn't leave marks or break down under fairly heavy work, unlike a typical rubber mallet.

I bought this to use with chisels for woodworking, and had meant it to be a stand-in until I could afford a high-quality woodworking mallet designed for the purpose. It has now become my go-to hammer for anything other then driving nails or re-shaping metal (as in the kind of reshaping that requires an anvil).

After building a king bed frame and using this hammer for all the mortise and tenon work and coaxing the joints together, I even went ahead and bought a second just to have a backup.

I can not speak to long term durability yet, but it has shown no signs of wear after tens of hours of use, and has held up substantially better than any rubber-headed mallet I have ever owned.

rob: I gave this hammer 5 stars overall. However, I gave the weight distribution 1 star because al the weight is on the hammer and not the handle. Then again, that's how a hammer works. I gave the Versatility 1 star as well. It only really works for hammering and smashing. I found it is not very effective as a fork, and definitely not as a knife. It worked pretty well as a screwdriver going in, but was useless on the way out. I couldn't even use an actual screwdriver to get it out. Might work as a massager or maracas , but it is horrible for window cleaning. So not versatile at all. Its a hammer.

Kenny SiebertKenny Siebert: We have been using these dead blow hammers in our assembly department for about a month now. They get used to encourage stainless steel parts to go into where they don't want to fit. They have held up as good as any of the other brands we have purchased in the past (except for the Estwings). The grip on these YIYI hammers is better than most of the other ones we have used. You still have to be cautious not to hit corners or edges of metal as it will cut the rubber. This is typical with all of this type of hammer though.

The sizes in the description (60mm, 50mm, and 45mm) are referencing the diameter of the head of the hammer. The important numbers are the weights: 60mm is 3lbs; 50mm is 2lbs; 45mm is 1.5lbs

Overall, at $25 for the set, I would definitely buy them again.
