rldantoni: This is my first Yeti cooler so I had high expectations. I did a test at home before I used the cooler. I filled it with ice and let it sit inside with no sun. It lasted three days but most of the ice had melted by the third day. We have taken this cooler to the beach in 93 degree weather and the ice held up pretty good. Although there was melted ice, I would say about half the ice was still there. Our drinks were very cold like they just came out of the refrigerator perhaps even colder! On a hot day, that made this cooler worth the price. This cooler is much bigger than what the pictures show. It holds 9 cans with ice. I filed it as full as possible. I didn't put bottles in the cooler but it will hold a good amount of those too. The cooler is light weight and has a nice solid strap that doesn't dig into your arm. The only thing I don't like is the zipper. It takes a good tug just to get it to move. I assume that is because this cooler does not leak at all. If you are sitting down and the cooler isn't at the right angle, it's hard to open. I applied the lube that was supplied also and that didn't make a difference. It's still hard to open. john belley: Works good and keeps your lunch cold. Gets grimy looking in a hurry if you use it at work. Comes with some grease for the zipper. Dont last long. Better off using some deep creep or other kind of spray lube. I hear they have zipper trouble. Had it for a month. So far so good.
