FiddleBozo: I have a 1972 Gallagher G-70 that needed a new case. I didn't want to spring for a Calton, (I have one for my mandolin- superb but pricey), but I wanted a good sturdy case that would protect the guitar going to practice and gigs. The Gallagher is modeled on the Martin D-28-- pretty much identical with respect to dimensions - the "dreadnaught" size has become a standard, but case makers tended to fudge and over-size, I suppose to accommodate and many makes as possible. This can be a problem.
I initially ordered a Gator ABS case. A sturdy enough case in the same price range and light in weight. This didn't work at all as the fit was very loose. The guitar could literally move inside the case in all directions - a recipe for disaster. I returned it the same day as received. (Thanks Amazon).
I then ordered the Yamaha case and the guitar fit snugly and securely. Their is more padding and it's softer that the Gator's rigid foam. I am well-pleased with this case and it is a great value for the money. It's not quite as high-end as the Superior cases that my Collings guitar came with, but the Yamaha is also half the price of those and excellent fit and finish.
One note...

Tim K: I almost wish that I had kept all the cases Amazon sent me by accident. I paid 80 for this case when I got it back in 2019. They accidentally shipped me a full box of cases - 6 of them in total. Being honest I returned the five extra cases they sent.
I understand inflation is driving the cost of everything up, but wow this case has gone way up. I'd be tempted to look for something used or spend a little more and get a TKL for the durability.
I will say it fits my my Yamaha FG700S perfectly. I also learned that it fits my Fender Newporter Player well - I was worried about the Fender headstock being too long, but there is plenty of room and the body fits snugly enough.

c486: I'm a beginner, and ever since purchasing my FG-800 I have been tired of rolling up my guitar in an old blanket, with occasional heart drops when accidentally bumping it against things. The AG1-HC case gives me the peace of mind I have been wanting for that instrument.
Make no mistake about it, this case is exactly that: a guitar case. It does not pretend or attempt to be anything else. Sturdily built with tight lockup and a solid feel in either position (open or closed). Standard black and polished/plated brass 3+1 clasp hardware with a distinct lack of branding, a feature that may or may not be advantageous to your particular needs. The interior is lined with black interior plush, as opposed to the red/purple 70s-esque variety of other cases, with a large accessory pocket capable of stocking many packs of strings along with pegwinders, piezo pickups, picks, capos and anything else you could possibly need to carry along with your instrument.
The lock is the standard style for guitar cases - a simple skeleton-key lock more intended to ensure one clasp stays locked rather than genuine security of the case's contents. This configuration seems adequate for a bumpy ride...
