Xntun Professional Tile Leveling System | 300-Piece 1/8 Inch Leveling Spacer Clips for Ceramic Tile and Stone Installation

DH: Does a great job at leveling my 6" x 36" porcelain floor tiles. I did notice inconsistent spacing, however, so I'd recommend using a few traditional spacers if exact grout lines are required. Tile leveling is the number one job of this product and for that purpose, my job looks great.

Note: NO instructions come with this product so you'll want to look up some wedge system videos for how to. The tool included to set the wedges tight is adjustable with five settings. I bought the 1/8" spacers and used the third setting. I tiled a 36 sf bathroom floor and used almost all of the wedges but admitttedly it was my first time using a leveling system and I likely used more wedges than necessary.

John DaSilvaJohn DaSilva: I would recommend this kit to a DIY job for 12 x 24 porcelain tile layout. No issues with clear insert breaking too high requiring a Dremel tool to clear the channel for grout. All of them broke below the grout line. I did have a few break during leveling, but I was putting a lot of force to level some tiles. Most of the time I was able to slide in/out a new clip without removing the tile. These 12x24 tiles all have a slight bow in the middle, so getting a very level surface is nearly impossible, but I am very satisfied with outcome. Far better than without am I sure of that.

For best results:
1) don't skimp out on using the clear breakable inserts. I used around 10 per tile for a 1/3 offset pattern. It's actually not that many as some are shared with tiles above and below.
2) Adjust the gun tool so that you get maximum insertion without breaking the tabs. This may take a few trials before getting the correct depth.
3) As soon as you lay the tile down, begin inserting the yellow wedge and level. I always put the thicker part of the wedge on the tile that needed lifting. I found that if it set for even 30 seconds before trying to level it did not work that well....

Kindle CustomerKindle Customer: What a great product for those DIY people doing tile work themselves. This takes the guesswork (experience) out of leveling the tiles and is a snap to use. I used polished 24'' X 12'' tiles in my shower and they had sharp defined edges. You definitely need all the tile at the same plain for the grout to look correct. It came out great! Here's a few tips:
#1. Don't over click the wedge as it will start to distort the clip and widen your grout gap to more than 1/8''.
#2. After the mortar is dry, add an extra click of tension to the clips before hitting them with a hammer to break off. This will put more tension on the score point and make them "Snap" off cleanly. Once I tried that, every clip broke off perfectly.
#3. Slide the clip under just the tile, not the tile and the mortar. When aligning the tiles together with the wedge, the clip lifts up on the bottom of the tile (aligning) and the mortar will ooze into the joint if you put the clip in the mortar.

Aaron Schmalz: Firstly, this product is great and works better than what HD sells. It does take a bit of patience and skill to set them but the outcome is far better than without. I ordered one pack and thought that would be plenty, however, I ran out nearly 1/3 the way through. I used them for the shower walls with a tub & I used 8.5 x 4.25 subway tiles. I suppose it is my fault for not figuring out how many I would need but...I just wanted to buy one thing and be done with it + if you're remodeling your bath like I you have plenty of other s*i&* that your thinking about. So after I ran out, I searched both box stores and HD had them but only for 1/16 spacing...I needed 1/8. I ended up purchasing them from HD to finish the job but at a MUCH greater cost ~3x as much. I didn't really use the tool a whole lot - how do I say without sounding like an *hole... I'm a bigger guy with large hands and I'm fairly strong so I didn't need the tool - my wife did use it though (I would not in any way look at anyone differently for using it :-)

Ohh and the one note on skill to set them, I found that when I tighten the wedge down, sometimes it would move the tile slightly, I simply used a rubber...

The Nerd Squad: This is a great product, most people on Amazon that buy Prime items seem to bash on the item if it is delivered messed up... Why? You really think that the seller wants that so they send things in that condition purposefully? Or even they are allowed to leave like that? I doubt it.. Anyway, anyone that does bash an item for how it was delivered and being the item is on Prime need to bash on Amazon warehousing as many items sit in the warehouse for a long while, who knows what happened to them, and then to rate the persons listing down for something out of their control is a bit much.
These things work great and are sturdy until ready to remove. Anyone that has troubles with this system might have issues with tile process in general so know that they do work and work great, I used them on porcelain tile that is 12x24 inches so fairly large tile, I see absolutely zero lipping. Know that large format tile has by nature a curve to it for ceramics and porcelain. Also ensure you apply mortar to the back "Back buttering" and then only pull that 1/4" or so trowel in straight lines no curves in your mortar or you will sacrifice durability for ease of application.
