I bought these as "stocking stuffer" gifts for the fellow outdoormen in my family, but there's no way I would ever want someone depending upon them in a survival situation, much less in a normal camping situation.
If you try to pull the striking nib to adjust or replace the work, it simply snaps.

These were horrible.
1. The tell you that you can use kerosene, gas and or lighter fluid. The lighter fluid worked the best.
2. I got maybe 4-5 strikes that lit and could be used. After that they would no longer light. The little piece of cloth that burns . Burned off completely. Now won’t light. The sparker works though.
