Bought it to stop him licking himself when he’s home alone, he has been wearing it almost constantly for months now. It finally popped after about 6 months of nearly 24/7 use by our small dog, so be bought another as a replacement. No joke, if he’s not wearing it and you show it to him, he’ll beg to have it put on him. We imagine he thinks it’s like clothes or something, and he enjoys having his own because now he gets to wear them too.

D. Myers: The valve would not allow air in. Ended up biting it really hard and then it worked, but very difficult. Not sure about the size. Ordered a medium and a
Large. Pups neck is 15”. Medium is too small and large too big. Pup was able to get it off and her paw got stuck in it up by her head. We will just have to make it work, but won’t leave it on her unattended.

Jessica C-L: This recovery donut has worked well for our 60lb Lab/Shepherd mix recovering from multiple lipoma removal with 3 large incision areas. She is long and had long snout and this donut in the largest size has worked for her. If she was a more aggressive dog she might still be able to reach her groin incision but she hasn't been trying. The one flaw is the strap that velcro the unit closes with is long and to close the donut so the two ends touch only barely hits the velcro area and you have about 8" of excess velcro strap that hangs down. More than once my dog has stepped on the strap unvelcro'ing the donut from being closed. We used the collar strap to attach it and it hasn't fallen off. It almost seems the design should have an O-ring that strap goes through like other similar products. If we need to we will tape the excess down but we are a few days away from not needing it anymore. It otherwise has held air well, the fabric is soft and hair doesn't cling to it, and it by far more comfortable for than the plastic cone. And a great price for a temporary needed item. (We saw one at pet store chain for 3x price.)

D: I went by the measurements my dogs neck is 17' so I purchased a large. It is too big. Even sinched all the way she can still paw it off, it slips right off her head, so I should've gone with a medium. Her surgery is Tuesday so it's too late to re order. Oh well maybe this review will help someone one time.
Edit *** there are loops inside the pillow to slide a collar through so it fits perfectly for comfort, super easy to inflate and easy to clean too.

Tara MaslowskyTara Maslowsky: Highly recommend! My dog had her spay surgery and the plastic cone was an absolute no, she was terrified of it. This is basically an airplane travel pillow for dogs! Super comfy for her and had no issues sleeping with it! All vets should give these to their dogs! No issues getting it on her either. Looping the collar inside makes it easy for on and off! The only thing I will say is she is a black dog and the pink colour got quite dirty but otherwise it was perfect!

Zach: This is a fantastic product. It would have worked perfect, the material is very comfortable for the pet and prevents them from ramming a cone into things.
Unfortunately, the sizing chart isn't accurate. The medium indicates 8-14" and my dogs neck is 11" so one would think perfect fit. Incorrect, it is obscenely tight on my dogs neck and now I have to put the cone of shame back on my dog.
Takeaway: great materials for the money, excellent idea, poor sizing chart. Whatever you think your pet needs, do yourself a favor and buy the next size up.

Hetal: We took this cone collar to the vet to use it once our pup was out of surgery, they were dubious whether or not our pup could reach her belly area.
We found this cone practical to use during the day as it did not project beyond her face like the traditional plastic cones do. We would supervise our girl wearing it, removed it for her to eat and use the bathroom.
I dont think she was comfortable sleeping in it as her head was raised at uncomfortable angle and we found her face half out of the cone a bit squeeshed. At night was swapped this cone for plastic cone our vet provided us so our pup could sleep flat on her the side.

M: First off, size up according to the chart. I bought this for my pup ahead of his neuter and it's too small, even though he's in the medium size range. A large would be needed for him, as his collar is 13" and he is about 25lbs (mini aussie at 6 months). It is very tight and not sure I can use it at all. I also don't think this will be suitable for keeping his attention off his surgery site, as the width of the donut isn't big enough. It might work if I buy a size up, but I will be trying another brand, spent enough money on a non-useable product here.

brandi seabridge: Didn't hold air well. I blew it up and had to glue the air port closed. Very soft though and fit my frenchie well

Stormy Stevens: While no canine furbaby likes a big doughnut around their neck, Bubba tolerates this a lot better than those cones! It seems more comfortable for him and he doesn't put up too much of a fight over it. We'll see how tolerable he is when he has his surgery and has to wear it longer than just trying it on.
