David R. Leib: Simple instructions to follow and all you need is the small philips head screwdriver that comes with the kit. There is a removable tray you can place in the center to catch some droppings. I used newspaper over top of the tray and the birds did not care for its shininess.

Bought so the birds could join us in the living room and they took to it right away. I was slightly concerned that the dowels were too broad for a small bird like a budgerigar, but they had no issue with that.

I will say the food bowl situation is a little cumbersome to set up, but that for me was an extra. Overall very pleased because my birds are pleased.

The little dishes I found were a bit to deep for the small dish. Mature problem was the metal ring holding the dish, I can see a bird cutting its feet on it. I wrapped everything that I thought was slippery or sharp with vet wrap

AmberAmber: This is a great product once you make some adjustments to it. The instructions weren't that descriptive but there's only like 10 pieces so it was easy to assemble, I used my screw gun to make sure it was completely sturdy rather than the screwdriver that came with it.

All of the screws were there and fit, except for the flat perch the screw was smaller than the opening so I used my own. I was missing one perch but I added her hanging ladder in place of it.

I saw reviews about issues with the metal in the bell , so I removed the bell and chain and put the toys on a hemp roap instead.

I also saw complaints about the food dish being dangerous so I tightened the holders and wrapped them with the gripped medical tape that I use for her perches.

It's a little pricey for the extra work that had to be done. But overall it's a great buy and my bird is happy so that's all that matters lol.

Andrea Polley: I like this bird play stand, it wasn’t too expensive and my Sun Conure really likes it. The issue I have is that it is not that sturdy. It didn’t take long for it to start falling apart on me, and getting wobbly, and bolts getting loose. That’s dangerous for the bird that uses the perches on it, as well as risky to have bolts that he can easily pull out. Luckily that hasn’t happened yet. I also dislike the bowls that come with it. The metal that’s used is very dirty and cheap. I honestly wouldn’t feed my bird out of them, considering some metals can be toxic to birds. I just didn’t feel comfortable with them. They also didn’t even attach properly to the stand, and the method used to attach is awful. I do not use them. I would say if you want a good play stand where they can enjoy themselves and eat and play, you may be better off in the long run to get something of better quality!

Madison: I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to take a second to clarify some of the other reviews that I read before purchasing this item.. I read several reviews of people saying the instructions were not clear and they had a hard time putting it together.. guess the product comes with 30 pieces. Now I'm sure for some people that might sound like an overwhelming number.. but if you take a second and just look at the picture and the pieces you have it's really not that hard to figure out.. I am not a mechanical person by any means and I got this thing put together in less than 20 minutes. this is an amazing product that is very sturdy and my cockatiel loves it.. I do have to put a paper towel over the metal catch pan, but that is only because when my bird sees his reflection, that is all he wants to play with. This product has not been getting enough credit for how great it is so hopefully this helps somebody with deciding to buy it or not. I highly recommend for budgie, cockatiel, conure, love bird, caique and other birds of that size. Indian ringnecks would even have fun on this.
