customer: This is a perfect size for budgies. I got it for my parrotlet, which is about the same size. Great for him to hang out on while I'm working in the kitchen, and to use as a training stand. The wood is unfinished, so you don't want it to go very long without wiping it with a paper towel.

Seabass: Nifty little perch, perfect for putting on a gram scale or carrying around your home and setting it on whatever nearby side table or desk that you want to so that your tiny to medium sized parrot can hang out close to you without being physically on you. I love that it came with a bonus full sized screw driver for putting it together, that screw driver ended up being a bit of a life-saver when the knob to my shower-faucet fell off so I'm definitely getting good use out of it beyond just for putting the perch together.

I would happily use this perch on a gram scale for measuring any size parrot but the largest bird I'd let just hang out on a perch this size would probably be a senegal or a conure.

After seeing certain bird stores selling gram scales with little T stands permanently attached to them for upwards of $70 to promote parrot health, I opted to purchase this for $13 and an $18 kitchen scale that measures in grams, ounces and pounds up to 22 pounds at a time. I confirmed the accuracy of my scale by weighing the exact same object (this perch to be exact) on my scale and on my avian vet's scale to confirm that the numbers matched up (they did, perfectly). kmpskmps: As any bird owner knows, to clean up after your bird, you need a smooth glossy surface. This is untreated, unpainted and not ready for your bird. There is no finish on this wood, no glossy paint so the wood is porous. It will stain. Yet it is sturdy and well made. There are grommets where the screws go and pre-drilled so the wood doesn't split. There's even a one time use screwdriver included. Let me emphasize, one time use. You may need your own if you don't want the screw on the bar sticking up too high. As you can see in one of the pics, it's sticking up too high for my liking. I'll need a sturdier screwdriver to finish driving. The assembly instructions are included, if you want to call them that. But this isn't rocket science.

Mrs. Famous: This is a fine little perch. My budgie likes sitting on it when we are doing things at the table. I also like that I can move it around to different locations. I also like the base. I am sure it is as wide as it is to keep the perch upright and sturdy, however, it catches poop quite nicely. That is a bit of a bonus right there for me. It comes with a small screwdriver, two screws, and the pre-drilled dowels complete with small plastic holders to turn the screws into, and the base. I don't think this perch will get wobbly since it has those pieces inside the dowels to keep the screws tight. Simple to put together. I recommend this if you are not feeling like putting something together yourself. I'm definitely too lazy to go out and get the pieces and parts, so this was perfect for me.
