Needed a way of turning the light on and off and thought a remote switch would be the answer as rewiring was not an option. Installation was easy. It works wonderfully. Getting the receiver and remote control to work together was a little bit of a challenge. The instructions did not cover this item I felt and I had to figure it out myself.

Don: Was easy to install and works well. The only issue was the remote receiver is thicker than the depth of the fixture base and prevents the fixture from sitting flat on the ceiling. You have to cut a 1/4 in. pocket into the ceiling plaster/drywall for the receiver to sit in.

kevin wyse: we have a rental suite in our home that had 3 rooms all operated by a 3 way switch, so all the rooms had the lights on or they were all off. I didn't want to take down all the drywall to re wire so searched for a solution. There were a number of these products from different places, this one was more expensive however the receiver quite a bit smaller than the others so it could easily fit insight the electrical boxes. I purchased 3 of these products and now each light operates independently on it's own switch and works perfectly. The signals from each switch also don't interfere with each other. Took me only 30 min to install all 3, solved my problem and was also able to put switches in better spots. Absolutely recommend.

Noah: Just installed two of them doing a Reno in an old house that didn't have wall switches, only pull switches on the lights. Was fairly easy to install, just don't bother with the connection clips it comes with they don't work, just use marettes instead and it will all go well, easy to install. I have two, one in each room and they don't interfere with eachother, except when I try to turn them both on at the exact same time, but that would never actually happen in every day life, I was just playing around with them and found that.

John VenerusoJohn Veneruso: Once installed, this remote switch worked great for solving my simple problem: The light switch for my under cabinet kitchen lights is weirdly in another room and I wanted it in a much more convenient location without paying an electrician, carpenter, and wallboard craftsman to move it. Given that my problem is likely yours, I don't understand why the instructions fail to properly cover this common case. I would give this a FIVE Star rating if the instructions were improved.
Because it is far more important in the dark Pacific NW to turn a light on than it is to turn it off, a parallel installation is exactly what's needed. This enables either the wall switch or the remote switch to turn the light on; however, both the remote switch and the wall switch will need to be turned off to switch the lights off. Typical operation is to leave the wall switch in the off position so that the remote switch does the happy on/off.
Wiring takes about 5 minutes and is super simple, provided that you have an AC voltage detector ( Fluke 1AC-A1-II VoltAlert Non-Contact Voltage Tester Fluke https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EJ332O/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_SuPqCbMEKXBMJ ).

Niles508: I bought this single switch and also a double-switch version.
I gave this switch a one-star review at first (since I could not get it to work at all). Now I have upgraded my review to a 3-star (3.5 Stars really) since I was able to get the two switches to work -- no thanks to the included instructions. Make no mistake about it-- the instructions are simply awful and incomplete. But, once you get the correct instructions, the switches work perfectly. Because the instructions are so bad, many people (if not most) will not be able to get the switches to work. So, I downgraded my rating significantly for that reason. I cannot imagine why the instructions are so confusing and incomplete. Simple laziness is all I can think of. If there were were clear instructions, I would give this product a 5 star review.
I tried the double-switch version first, and could not get it to work at all. I was using the simplest set-up possible: a bare bulb "pigtailed" to wires in ceiling (hot and neutral). This is exactly like the little diagram in the instructions.
The double-switch did not work at all, and I contacted Amazon technical support. We went thru various checks and tests,...

Robert W: Wanted a way to turn the outside spotlights off on my detached garage. I have power to the garage but no ability to separately switch those lights on or off - only to flip the breaker for the whole garage. Instructions were ok but challenge in installing was the wires from the control unit are very short and TINY. Gives you very little room to attach it in a proper electrical box and you need TINY merrettes to attach to standard 14/2 house wire. The unit comes with little plastic connectors to attach to your house wire but these are sketchy and completely illegal in any electrical code. Despite running the antenna wire through a hole in the garage so it sticks out a good 6+ inches, you have to get about 30-40 feet away before the light turns off. Turning on is no problem - I can walk up to 150 feet away and it turns on. Whatever frequency they are using for the off function is very weak. UPDATE: The off function requires pretty much line of sight. I added 15' of AWG26 telephone wire to the antenna and I can now turn it off from about 60 feet depending on where I move the switch. There is very little tolerance if the signal has to go through anything
