Laurevel: An amazing purchase for our homeschool curriculum. Big and easy to use for little hands. This was a great purchase that has helped our littles family members learn to tell time.

Sherri: It’s a large learning clock with helpful minute place. However the sides are exposed and with teaching 2 kids this year and wanting it for 2 others. I will be surprised it lasts this year. I wish it was coated thicker on the front and at least some coating on the sides and corners. For 9$ I was hoping for many years of use since it’s just cardboard thought it would have a more durable coating.

AF: I purchased this as I wear two hearing aids and don't always hear my alarm clock or feel it (it has a vibrating motion as well). I set it out so I don't have to waste paper writing a note to my husband on when to wake me when I need to get up earlier than normal. I wrote with a dry erase marker "please wake me up at" and just set the hands to my wakeup time It's a bit large for what I need but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. It's heavy laminated cardboard and the hands move easily and don't move around when you do. I have no idea how it will stand up to kids handling it but for my needs, it's great.

jessieinsanfrancisco: My 10-year-old son has several Learning Disabilities and this affects even his inability to read an analog clock. So, in order to 'force' him to learn how to tell time, I bought an analog clock to hang up on his wall, took away his digital clock and then hung this Demo Clock right underneath the large analog clock on his wall. This way, when I tell him to come down in 5 minutes, he can practice on this Demo Clock to see exactly how long that will take. It's worked out so well! Last night, he asked when dinner was ready, and I said, "6:30". At exactly 6:30, he was downstairs, ready for dinner.
I also homeschool my son, so this is a very resourceful and inexpensive way to teach a child how to tell time. Practice on the wipe on/off space and then have him/her write a time and then position the hands on the appropriate numbers. Get a large analog clock (plenty of great inexpensive ones on Amazon) and put it on the wall. Only use the analog clock (no digital) for about a month. Use times a lot. Like, "Come down in 10 minutes." or "Be ready in 15 minutes." Every now and then, ask him/her what time it is, to evaluate how well they are learning the clock. That's whats worked for...

S Riaz: This teaching clock has both plus and minus points. On the plus side it is reasonably priced, is nice and sturdy, and has a wipe clean section so you can also teach digital time. A lot of reviewers have complained that the hands of the clock did not stay where they were put. I did not find that with the clock I purchased - the hands were easy to move, but stayed in place. However, there is no way of tightening the hands up, should they come lose, and that is obviously a design flaw. Also, the long hand goes over the short hand, so if you are on 12 O'Clock, or half past six, the hour hand is totally obliterated. For teaching purposes, it would have made more sense to have had the hourhand on top of the minute hand, so you could see both, no matter the time. However, saying that, it really is a nice and simple teaching clock - clear and bright and attractive. It is easily to demonstrate the time and is clearly marked.

QCQT: The only thing I didn’t like was that the minutes on the clockface above the 12 indicate 60 instead of 00. Once I revised it with a sharpie, my daughter started to catch on.
