PJ: Older grandkids can practice telling time and younger ones can do the matching shape pieces. The only thing I would comment on is that the puzzle pieces fall out easily and if you are using it to tell time, you need to take the pieces off the clock. I am going to store it with the shape pieces in a zip-lock taped to the back of the clock.

alyssaalyssa: Good sized clock for little learners. The shapes pieces are a nice size for small hands. The board has the image and color underneath to help match the pieces. The hour and minute arms are firm but easy to move. All the shapes can be put in backwards except for #2 because its a rhombus/parallelogram. The board has a wedge stand attached so you can view it at an angle.

Ed: Really like that they tried to match the shapes to the number on the clock with the same number of sides. Other competitors had a hexagon on number 8 for example. I checked a number of them and only this clock did that. I am docking a star because it has Mickey Mouse on it. I’d rather it didn’t have it. Pretty durable and it’s neat that there’s a small stand in the back to help it slant up. And that the names of the shapes are written in the back too

MssyNorXMssyNorX: This is such a cute little learning puzzle and clock! I got it for my son several months ago and initially he wasn’t interested in it yet. Developmentally he just wasn’t there yet. However, now that he’s 29 months old (almost two and a half) he’s really taken a liking to it. He enjoys saying the numbers out loud, matching the shapes and numbers. There are so many levels of learning with this puzzle toy. I think it’s also useful well into the 4-5 year olds because of the time feature. So glad I made this purchase, it’s real wood and I think it’ll last us a while if we take good care of it. Plus gotta love the Mickey Mouse!

Heather: Melissa & Doug is a very well known company, and I used to stay away from them because of the paint on them. However, after buying this I have to say I love their products. You get what you pay for! This clock is very high quality. The paint has stayed on no matter how much my 11 month old has tossed the pieces around. The only thing I worry about is that she has a tendency to put the pieces in her mouth, and some of the pieces are small enough for her to get stuck in her throat. She does have to be monitored closely with this, but if you have a child that doesn't do that, no worries.
This is perfect for any child learning their numbers, colors, shapes, or telling time. The hands and arms on Mickey move around, despite a little difficulty even for myself to move. It even has a small ledge on the back to push it up off of the ground so it doesn't lay flat.
Great for libraries, schools and even at home.
