Creative Teacher 101: If you are new to Words Their Way (WTW) then this is the book to start with. Background information, assessments, instructional ideas and examples, games, independent activities, you name it you will most likely find it in this book. I've borrowed others and read several but this one will give you the big picture. From here you can buy the more focused WTW books to fine tune your work with struggling readers (but you don't have too.)

Yellowdaisey: I bought this for a course I am taking and find it very interesting. It is well written and some of the information provided has made a difference in my classroom with my small group instruction. As I’m reading through the book it shows that there is an online supplement to the book and the code was supposed to be provided, I bought the book new but the code was no where to be found. I ended up purchasing the add on supplemental information from Pearson for $25 dollars. You would think the price they charge for these books, they would include codes. I love the book, I’m irritated with the publisher.

Kristen: My class is just now starting for which I ordered this book in advance, and there was no online access code as is usually included with brand new textbooks. Because I only just realized this, it's now too late to get a replacement or refund. Be sure you go ahead and check for your online access code.

Otherwise, this book is a great resource. Just wish I could access the online materials.
